Our house and 31 acres has a long history--used as a hospital during the Battle of Chickamauga, given as a wedding present in 1875 to a local girl, housed senior citizens for a while and then a band of hippies, fallen down, built back up, accommodated horses and high school rodeos, weddings, concerts, and now is a wonderful vacation retreat and hobby farm. There are pastures and woods to wander in, a pond to relax by, a wonderful breeze, and fun farm animals to cuddle.Vintage Avion travel trailer sits with a view of the pond and our friendly pasture pets. The camper has everything you will need for a quiet getaway in a rural setting that is surprisingly close to Chattanooga and all its attractions. Our 31 acres includes some wooded walking trails, a pond, pastures, and some very pettable goats and donkeys. Guests have a firepit, a grill, a hammock, their own deck, and parking is only a few yards away. Lookout Mountain, downtown Chattanooga, the Chickamauga Battlefield, Rock Town climbing, Mountain Cove--all are within easy driving distance.
