Spring time is approaching quickly and the weather here in North Florida is at its prime!  Are you looking for a secluded primitive camp to help you unplug and unwind? Well you found the perfect spot, Located just a short walk from the banks of the historic Suwannee river in Suwannee County. Sunshine Hill comes equipped with a 16x20 lean-to style building with three walls. One side is loaded with a very functional but primitive style outdoor kitchen fully stocked with dishes and cookware and the other side hosts a swing, small counter and plenty of dry fire wood or a dry place to pitch a small tent in case of sub-optimal weather conditions. There is a hammock, two benches, and a designated fire pit. This is a PRIMITIVE campsite. No electricity and no traditional running water but we do have things to accommodate that in place. For example a 5 gallon water jug to provide water to the sink via a manual hand pump. We also have a solar light with an easy access on/off switch located inside the lean-to, and a motion light in the fully functional outhouse. The composting toilet is for #2 ONLY it does not support moisture so you will have to 'pee in the woods'. There is a shower stall as well to be used with a 5 gallon shower bag that we will fill fresh for each guest. Firewood is available onsite and works on the honor system. Sunshine Hill is designed to make primitive camping fun and easy for the entire family! Most of the work is done just bring a place to sleep and something to cook for dinner! Make sure you are ready to relax and unwind because the serenity of the Florida night sky combined with the lightening bugs you're sure to see is captivating. Sunshine Hill  is  15 miles from the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park, Suwannee Springs, and the famous 'graffiti bridge'  and 5 miles from Suwannee River State Park other springs within just a few miles include Suwanacoochee Spring, Falmouth Spring, Anderson Spring and Little Gem Spring (located inside the Suwannee River State Park). Due to the primitive location of this camp site a meet and greet is required to get to the spot. Please message me to set up a time to meet prior to your stay.
