Take advantage of the attractive and spacious camping and caravan sites at Ivory's Rock, just south of Ipswich. With wallabies hopping about and koalas to spot, we offer a great place to take some time out surrounded by native bushland. Caravan clubs are welcome, as well as mums and dads wanting to give the kids a taste of nature, yet still have creature comforts such as laundry facilities, WiFi and even a number of private bathrooms. Surrounded by nature, you can feel safe and secure while enjoying fresh air and plenty of space. We offer: - Powered and unpowered sites - Private bush sites - Afordable lodging options - Modern shower-toilet blocks, with a number of private bathrooms - Water available at the amenities block - Laundry facilities - Large shelter - Gas barbecues - Communal fire pits - WiFi access (rural location limited access) If you're a nature lover this is the place for you. You won't believe how beautiful this property is. Nearly 30 years of conservation and this property has returned to its stunning natural beauty, from the rock formations to the native landscape containing extensive bird life and wildlife and the best night sky in the world. A rest here has a deep effect on your soul. Only 20 kilometres from the nearest big shopping centre you will feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. On the edge of the Scenic Rim in Queensland there are many activities to be enjoyed nearby including a camel farm, small rural towns, pubs, alpaca and goat farms. There are also dams and lakes for canoeing and boating about 30m mins drive away.

Great Bush Camp
Stumbled across Ivory’s Rock via Hipcamp when looking at campgrounds for CMC weekend. Communication before and during our stay was great and nothing was too much trouble. Especially helping out our friends late on Thursday who were left stranded after being let down by their booked holiday house. We had a powered site that comes with its own dedicated bathroom within the amenities block. This is a very large bush campground with different dedicated areas and would be great for large groups. So much room with lovely views of Ivory’s rock. There was even a coffee van and a shuttle bus for CMC. Also has fire pits and is pet friendly. We will definitely be back!!

Fine but missing promised amenities
Overall the site was good for camping however we didn't have hot water (when we raised this with a caretaker he dismissed us and sounded like he didn't believe us, and then did nothing to investigate). The laundry at our site was also locked up. Those two reasons were why we booked this location in the first place. Also the noise time limits weren't well enforced and there was a very loud group in the next camp who had music (and karaoke!) going all night/starting very early in the morning. Other than that it was a fine spot to camp during our days in the area and there was a really nice view of the mountain.
