Camp Wild Fern
Ragan was so easy to communicate with and very prompt with responses. I didn’t get to camp but my parents did and my mom is suffering with a terminal illness and sometimes it’s tough for her to go out and be around others but her and dad both said that Ragan and husband were very friendly and kind. They loved the chickens! Thank you Ragan for making this experience wonderful for my parents!

beautiful spot
really enjoyed my stay here especially all the beautiful lush plants. Finding the site was easy and I really appreciated having fresh water and a place to go poo. There is not privacy between campsites you’re pretty out in the open. I paid extra for firewood and was given pine logs that weren’t split and were big so they did not light well. My recommendation if you do want to have a fire is to bring your own split logs. There is plenty of kindling around though to find on the property. The host was really friendly and helpful He offered me an axe to split the logs and the fresh ones I could not breakthrough and I am a pretty strong dude. I ended up splitting some old rotted logs for two nights worth of fires had one fire and came back the next day after being out to find my fire pit had been moved and given to new campers (that were placed super close to me) along with the wood that I split for myself, the new fire pit that I was given had no wood in it, was a bit bummed and didn’t feel like doing it again … no fire that night. All in all it’s a solid spot with great vibes, very quiet at night with beautiful nature sounds of owls and one night we had a lot of thunder, which was really fun!! my dog really enjoyed it, especially walking around the neighborhood each evening before bed. Thanks for hosting a great spot!

Great stop for Coast to Coast Trail
Such a beautiful piece of land! Best Hipcamp I've stayed at so far! Was greeted warmly and shown around the property upon arrival. Great spot! Easy to bike to from the Coast to Coast trail. There's hammocks which I definitely fell asleep in after biking all day LOL. Hosts are very sweet and even gave me a little homemade non-toxic firestarter candle thing and eggs fresh from their adorable chickens! Would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area! Thank you so much for your hospitality! Y'all are so kind and awesome!
side note: I biked to Scottsmoor Landing from the campsite for sunrise which was lovely and I would recommend.

I dug it…
I really dig this place. It’s my favorite Hipcamp so far.
It’s a really great property, but the vibe is just right. You can’t put a price on peace…and, that being said, it’s very peaceful here.
The hosts were very kind, and I appreciated their eye for detail. From stacking firewood off the ground so it stays dry, to turning the bottom cinder block sideways so the firepit has good airflow…it’s small things like that, but they were appreciated.
Beyond that, if stayed in quite a few different places and it seemed like many people were just trying to do a side hustle to make some extra cash.
Here however, it was very apparent in meeting them, that they have a heart for community…which made me dig it all the more.
I highly recommend it. Please support the ones like these who do it for the right reasons…
