Learn more about this land: Nestled under the old oak forest and longleaf pines, listen for the owls and woodpeckers. Walk the path or relax in the couch swing. Quiet, secluded, close to Gainesville yet eons away. Paynes Prairie and UF 1/2 hour away. Blue Springs, Ginnie Springs, Poe Springs, and Ichetucknee Springs parks all within an hour's drive. Equally close to Fanning, Manatee and Rainbow Springs. If you just need a quick getaway or a base camp for vacation explorations, this is the place for you. UF, Shands and "The Swamp" - Go Gators! - 30 minutes away. Fenced paddocks and covered stalls available at additional cost. 2 mile dirt road leads you back into the woods and away from the noise into a paradise time forgot. RTC Tiny Theater and workshop also available at an additional cost for bands, theater, circus and dance rehearsals and performances. Self-funded residencies available.

Sculpture Garden Tent, Van, Popup

We had a wonderful time camping at Lynn’s property. The space was large with a gorgeous fire pit to one side. The shower and bathroom were the best I’ve experienced at a campground. My 10 and 4 year old had a wonderful time running the paths around the area and it was stunningly beautiful. Our hosts were kind and gracious. They are very knowledgeable about fun things to do in the area. We fell asleep to owls every night. It was astonishing that we were as close to town as we were- it felt like being far out in the woods. It is about 15/20 minutes from Gainesville and maybe 30 minutes from our main hiking interest- Paines Prairie.

Flintstones neighbors

I loved the camping site! It was beautiful, the sounds of the birds, the unique circus details around, the peace that you can experience in the place make this place special and unique. Areas were very clean! The owners are amazing and the instructions to get there were on point. I definitely go back again! We absolutely recommend this place!!!

Flintstone Picnic Campground

Tranquil Wooded Oasis

We had a super peaceful two nights under the gorgeous oaks of Lynn and David’s place. They are excellent hosts and have created a comfortable setting for our 20’ RV, especially with helping us get settled after dark. Use of the portable fire pit and Wi-fi was very appreciated!! You will love the area and sweet hosts.
