5 J’s Camp is completely private 2.5 acres that backs the Ocala National Forest in Umatilla . This our family getaway, we are a family of 5 and we all have names that start the letter J. There are endless places to put a tent including by the lake, or completely private areas, or by the common areas to be close to a bathroom and kitchen and pavilion, water and electric. The amenities include a pavilion with an outside kitchen, dinning and living area. There is also a ( large shed converted to a ) cook shack with a full size fridge, microwave, electric burners and a toaster oven. There is also a bathroom with a full-size shower/tub, hot water and a toilet. It comes with all of the basics to be comfortable while you camp. Also, you have a good chance of being alone. we usually only book 1 party at a time, Just message me to confirm. The property has enough lighting to completely light up the common area. There is also water and electric all over the property. There is a shooting range right outside of the property that is part of the forest. There is Blue Sink several miles away, it is a spring feed swimming hole that is deep enough for SCUBA. There is horse trails and OHV trails as well. This camp was a hunting camp and still has an huge animal cleaning station on the back side of the property, with water, drainage, power, lighting and all stainless steel sinks and counters. Come to play and explore or come to relax. Our camp is always (slowly)being Improved, you might see work in progress so be aware there may be a consolidated area that looks messy. This is a camp, everything gets dusty, and there are bugs. We keep the yard kept up and do what we can to limit bugs in the common area. I recommend a 4x4 although I don’t own one my self. The roads are usually decent, but the weather has a lot to do with roads in the forest.We have many sites from completely private, by the lake or in the common area near the power, water, kitchen and bath. It’s open camping so you can choose from any of the open sight’s available.
