The property is very spread out and there is an outhouse for all sites to us. Your pets are welcome too! Other attractions include local farmers markets, Gilette's Castle, and the famous River Ferry crossing the Connecticut River with a vehicle across to East Haddam. We cannot allow any wood for camp fires to be brought in form the outside for environmental reasons. It can be purchased for $12 per bundle. Farm Fresh eggs daily when available for $5.00 per 1/2 dozen. And there are also blocks of ice $5 for the large styrofoam cooler in grilling area next to horse trailer. Garbage removal is available as well $5 per bag provided.

Enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, kiting, fishing, and viewing wildlife in our protected and preserved surroundings. Perfect for the outdoors type as we have no heat (except for space heaters). There is a large outdoor shower only which is open to the sky and perfect for star-gazing in the steam! Beautiful sunrises to the east of the marsh and breathtaking sunsets to the west over the Sound will make your stay magical and memorable forever!Learn more about this land:Charming beach cottage is comfortable and quaint surrounded by the salt marsh and Long Island Sound, thus called Great Hammock Beach. Awesome natural habitat for fishing, kiting, kayaking, paddle boarding, and communing with wildlife. Guests must bring own linens and paper goods. There is no indoor shower, however, our large outdoor shower is privately enclosed and makes for a unique bathing experience open to the sky and billions of stars! While there are a few blankets inside the house, please note there is no heat except for a couple space heaters. Perfect for the outdoors lover! Also, the owners live on the property at the small rear cottage at all times.
