The property sits above the town and is level with easy and plentiful parking access. This is a quiet and safe residential area, walking distance from downtown Chester Village. There are fruit trees and a garden as well as a view of the village. There are hiking and kayaking spots close by and fabulous restaurants in Chester. The driveway is asphalt leading to gravel/grass parking space. This is primarily a safe and level spot to park one van or RV for up to two nights. The house was built in 1889 by Simeon Brooks, a member of a prominent family in town. The Brooks owned a factory and Simeon designed fasteners like hinges and door knobs. The town of Chester is full of wonderful restaurants, a brew pub, art galleries and shops. You are able to walk to town from the Gingerbread House. There is also a live theater and music at the Meetinghouse, both just a 5 minute walk.
