Wild Abandon Ranch is a gorgeous 50 acre property that we just acquired in March of 2023. Sadly, the property had been abandoned and neglected for over 20 years and we are doing our best to breath some new life into her. We are chasing those land dreams! This property has a wild amount of potential and an endless story of labor and we hope to bring a new vision and purpose to this very special place. The Hipcamp site is located down by the creek (on the SOUTH side of Minnesota Creek Rd) where you'll have total privacy and room to relax and explore. The deer trails are a great way to get lost amongst the trees and the rhythm of the creek. Just down the road further on Minnesota Creek Road is direct access to National Forest. Our property is only 3.5 miles from the town of Paonia so you're oh-so-close yet so far away from it all. Paonia is central to the abundant North Fork Valley and there is so much to experience in this area. From hiking, biking, camping, or swimming to touring the many vibrant vineyards or galleries. Your visit is directly contributing to this land's second chance. We hope you'll visit again and follow along in the evolution of Wild Abandon Ranch. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!The "Wild One" site is our first and only Hipcamp spot here at Wild Abandon Ranch. It is perfectly situated right along Minnesota Creek with ample privacy, shade, and beauty. We've cleared out a nice flat section that is perfect for a tent or vehicle. We've provided a wood picnic table and some solar string lights to make your stay under the stars a bit more cozy and comfortable. Once you've reached the site, you can situate your tent(s) or RV however you'd like within the cleared out section. Enjoy the beauty and serenity of walking the deer trails along the creek or travel just down Minnesota Creek Road to reach National Forest access. Paonia and the North Fork Valley are abundant places with much to offer. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like local advice. The Wild One

Peaceful, lovely, beautiful camp

This was such a lovely campsite! We had such an amazing time- especially my puppy, grizz! The spot is in the middle of an open, lush farm with amazing views. The sunset was spectacular & the sound of the stream at night was great. We really loved the picnic table and the string lights! Can’t wait to come back!

The Wild One

We took our camper van to this spot and stayed a long weekend with our 2 dogs. Overall loved the spot but we were mostly in town to check out wineries so we didn’t spend the whole time there. It’s quiet overall, minus a few times a day when the dog across the street barks for a while. I think that’s on par with farm dogs though. It worked for our needs and would probably stay again due to having more space and privacy than other camp spots in the same price range.

Lovely little spot.

Wonderful spot!!! I loved the little touches like solar lights and a few seats. The stream was lovely. Host was very responsive and kind.

Awesome little moto-camping spot

What a cool little campsite! Rode in from Denver on my motorcycle and what a neat spot to spend the night. The spot is nice and large with plenty of options for where to park and where to set up your tent. The space is nice and private but you do not feel like you are completely out in the middle of nowhere. It was super convenient to have the picnic table and the lights at night made a huge difference. As of the time I went, there wasn't any space to make a fire so don't plan on that for the time being. Also, there is no toilet space so you will need to dig a cathole somewhere away from the stream. Verizon had 1-2 bars on a lot of the space but service was slow so nothing more than just texting (at least on my phone). Will definitely stay again when I am in the area!
