The Slumgullion Earth & Sky Discovery Center is an International Dark Sky Park and interpretive center that also has a campground. It is located on a conservation easement that sits right on the toe of the unique Slumgullion Earthflow. This aspen and spruce tent camping site is protected because of its unique geologic and ecologic features.
DIRECTIONS: Our site is 2 miles south of Lake City. To get here, turn south off of Highway 149 at the Woodlake RV Park turnoff but DO NOT ENTER the Woodlake RV Park. Instead, veer left on the 2-track road past the dead-end sign before you enter the RV Park. The destination is straight ahead (See pictures for clarity).
