Site 1 - The BUSS BARN woods.
This site was just right for my plans. Not far from Des Moines. Jackson greeted me on arrival. If I would have had more time, I would have explored more of the property, rented an ATV, and done some ax throwing.

Great location! Host was welcoming and easy to get ahold of for questions. Fun place to camp with lots to do! Great for large groups. We will definitely camp there again

Great Host, Great Location
The host was awesome! Very accommodating and superbly friendly. Even took the time and effort to make conversation with us and tell about his life. The campsite was secluded and the hangs were immaculate. The only downside was the site had lots of extraneous equipment around (old kids bikes, car fender, water tanks, etc.). This made the site feel less “nature-ful”.

We enjoyed the quiet! Saw two owl on our evening walk, lovely sunset. Jackson had great communication, property as described. We would come back!

Bikepacking…
Worked well for my bikepacking route. Easy access from gravel roads, and site #1 offers some privacy in a wooded area 👍
