Very kind and communicative!
We weren’t able to make it to the site due to weather hours out - but Michael was SO kind and understanding when we had to cancel. Even though we didn’t stay, I wanted to leave a review about how sweet and communicative Michael was with us! :)

Amazing Views!
We loved camping at Michael’s property. Beautiful views and communication was excellent. Location was the highlight as it was very close to the main town area. Thanks again for the wonderful stay and hospitality! Truly an unforgettable stop on our 2 month roadtrip.

Michael was super communicative and helpful, esp. when I got stuck in some really serious mud from the snow melt. He also hooked us up with a ton or good firewood! The site was pretty small, but had some pretty good views. We could hear the Durango/Silverton steam engine in the morning, which was pretty awesome. However, we could also hear dogs barking pretty regularly since we were really close to their house (which I wasn't aware of in the pics or description). Convenient location as well.

Michael is the most gracious hipcamp host!! The site is in a forest, lots of flickers, hummingbirds, wild turkeys everywhere. Minutes from Durango, beautiful location. Coupla comments 1. Road sign is tiny, legible from one side only, but when we got lost Mike drive down to meet us. 2. You will be backing up a really steep drive into the site so make sure your vehicle can make it, Mike had to back us in we couldn’t make it. 3. It is close to their house- we found it comforting, but some might want more distance. Overall we had a beautiful stay, ate at the little table they have out for campers, our dog loved running in the woods.

Beautiful hookups in Durango!
Michael’s camping spot is amazing! He is a gracious host and answered every single text we sent promptly! I feel very fortunate to have camped w my family on such a beautiful piece of land. We spent 4 nights here and had a wonderful time. Top-notch accommodations!
