The Wildflower Cabin is a gorgeous architectural marvel that has a magical ambiance. Massive 18-inch cedar timbers were plucked from the British Columbia mountain forest, hand-carved with distinct artistry, and delivered to the Whitewater Canyon 5-acre property.

The vision to build an open-concept A-frame with loft in the middle of a desert began to take shape. This unique and authentic log cabin is flooded with natural light, good vibes, and a warm, welcoming personality.

Imagine waking up from a peaceful sleep to the stunning views and rays of sunlight hitting the San Jacinto Peak. Wander downstairs, brew up some coffee, and head out to the deck. Inhale a deep breath of clean mountain air, listen to the cheerful morning birds, and contemplate how you will seize the day.

The cabin has fresh, modern décor, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches. One highlight feature is the clawfoot tub where you can draw a deep well water bath, sink in, and restore.

There is an abundance of hiking trails in the area. You can step outside the front door and follow the sound of flowing water to the river at the base of the canyon 100 feet below. Venture to Whitewater Preserve, 3000 acres of parkland just 1 1⁄2 miles down the road. Take a relaxing walk, and maybe even a refreshing plunge into one of the oasis pools. For a full-day adventure, the famed Joshua Tree National Park is only 45 minutes away. Springtime wildflower hikes throughout the area are spectacular.

Spin some vinyl on the vintage record player while you cook up a storm in the well-stocked kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances. If you would rather eat out, Palm Springs' best restaurants are just 15 minutes away. For shoppers, Grand Cabazon Outlets are nearby as well.

After dinner, catch the speculator sunset, wind down in the hot tub, or have S' mores for dessert by the firepit. Stargazers will love the dark skies and be able to spot every constellation.

PETS

One-time non-refundable pet fee of $50 and no more than 2 dogs are allowed. Please note that the pet fee will be charged after the booking is confirmed and must be paid before check-in.

WI-FI 

Satellite WiFi service are available. We upgraded to fastest speed for you to stream 4k and join video calls on multiple devices.

VERY STRONG WINDS

It gets very windy in our area at times which may limit your enjoyment of the outdoor amenities we have added. (The fence we have added for privacy has been knocked down by the winds before and our outdoor wooden furniture are flipped over often — just to give you an understanding.) We do all we can to navigate around the winds but cannot control the impact it may have on your stay.

POWER OUTAGES

The power is cut off for 8-12 hours at least twice a year by the electrical company in order for maintenance to be done (for instance in preparation for the fire seasons). We inform our guests of outages as soon as we are made aware but cannot control the time or manner in which this may impact your stay.

REFUNDS

Should any inconveniences such as those listed above or anything else beyond our control affect your stay, we will not provide refunds. Please understand certain things simply come with the windy, rural, desert location. Thank you for understanding!
