The Cabin at Humboldt Bay Social Club is a tiny, rustic space. Its outdoor kitchen and shower, Laveo Dry Flush toilet, and lovely views provide a "glamping" experience on Humboldt Bay. The Cabin is located on the 22-acre Oyster Beach, part of Humboldt Bay Social Club. Humboldt Bay Social Club is a vacation rental resort, boutique hotel, event space and Lobby Bar. The Cabin is a short walk to the beach with views of the eucalyptus grove all around. The interior of the cabin is lined with maple plywood and features a cozy seating area with a small fold-down leather futon and two loft sleeping areas. The kitchen and shower are outside on the covered deck. The outdoor kitchen has a small propane oven with cooktop, a farm sink and a mini-fridge. It is outfitted with cookware and diningware. The outdoor shower is enclosed on the porch (hot water is provided with an on-demand water heater). A gas fireplace heats the cabin. Cabin 5 - On the Humboldt Bay
I didn't end up staying in this exact cabin, but a larger one on the same property due to a double booking. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the property! There are 4 cabins on the land and all have access to the beach, which is beautiful. Great place to relax and unwind.

Cabin 5 - On the Humboldt Bay
Sweet cabin 5 - highly recommend!
Cabin 5 was fun and cozy. It was lovely to open the windows at night to listen to the rain/frogs and smell the eucalyptus. It was nice to see a little bit of the water from the cabin through the trees. It was a perfect set up for a family of 3 (+dog). It was a treat not to be in a tent, since it was rainy weather (March/April). Our son (age 10) was happy to walk down to the little beach and dig in the sand for hours. It was handy to have the outside kitchen with little cook-top, toaster, electric kettle, fridge etc. I was glad we brought some of our camping cookware (bigger cooking pot, wine opener), but we could have easily made do with what was there. The outside shower was fabulous even when the outside temp dipped into low 40s. The inside dry toilet was like a strange space capsule set up, but worked really well. The Social Club staff are all lovely and helpful, with great hot-toddies. The visitor center in Eureka was really helpful too for dog-friendly recommendations. There is so much to do in this area - dunes, redwoods, beaches. This was such a fun peaceful/relaxing trip. Can't wait to return.
