I bought the deserted kiwi orchard in 1997, thinking it would be a place of healing. As the days and weeks progressed, I felt that all I wanted to do was to learn what the land had to teach me. So I turned all my attention and intention toward Nature, and began to reclaim the orchard from the blackberry overgrowth. As the years have gone by, I have added many other crops. Now we produce fruits, flowers, herbs, Microgreens & Vegetables... & I am still learning!! We would be happy to create a cleansing refreshment or meal for campers if notified in advance. We are happy to host campers who have a passion for Nature and are interested in sustainable living and seeing the beauty of the Sierra Foothills.

Another Way of Life

The hosts at this Hipcamp are wonderful. Staying at the farm was a great experience. I ordered the Produce basket and had the most delicious dinner and I’m still eating the fruits included in the bundle. I had a nice time touring the farm, and it got me thinking about growing some more things at home. Staying at the shared abundance Farm may give you a different outlook on life. It offers a peak into another way of living, one different from the 9 to 5 grind where the Earth and your labor gives you all you need.

Perfect little spot for my husband and oldest daughter to just enjoy the evening under the stars. Quiet and low key, Ruthanne was thoughtful and accommodating especially given her having a broken leg. Super thankful.

We had the best time at the Shared Abundance farm and campsite! It is absolutely magical to camp under the kiwi vines. The property was peaceful with many birds. I absolutely recommend opting in for some of the delicious and fresh produce - you won't regret it!

Orchard Nest

Ruthanne was extremely helpful in giving me directions and staying in touch and making me feel Welcomed! Very quiet and peaceful and close to Auburn where my seminar was! Picked lots of wild blackberries to put in my yogurt that were right there by my campsite. It’s so great to support a healthy local organic vegetable and fruit grower/farmer!!!!!
