Site 55 - Southern California's Fishing Camp
The staff was very friendly to us and accomidated our late check-in. Showers are operated on tokens instead of quarters which we were not able to get since we arrived after the store hours. Quite hours fid not seem to be enforced and there was loud music and people to be heard well into the morning hours. Children enjoyed the pool which looked clean and taken care of.

Don’t book the site through Hipcamp
Do not book this location through Hipcamp unless you want the site managers banging on your door first thing in the morning because the owner doesn’t communicate properly with them. They did give us free shower tokens and apologized however that does not make up for the rude awakening. The locals were very kind and told us that’s not the first time the managers have done that. So save yourself the trouble and book through their website instead. Other than that the place is nice, has hook ups and the bathrooms and showers were clean. And again the residents were super nice!

Southern California's Fishing Camp
when we arrived, they told us it was for RV camping only than allowed us to tent camp after all considering we drove 3 hours to get there . So we were thankful for that . Please update your camp inform HIPCaMP especially if it’s only for RVs to avoid any confusions for tent campers . Positives : Clean restroom , clean Swimming pool , the permanent residents there are friendly . Negatives: VERY DIRTY campsites . There’s ducks & geese everywhere so there poop is all over the place. 80% of the trailer park smelled very bad. Tons of flies , very Dirty lake with no filter system . Campsites had tons of broken glass , rocks , poop . Definitely campsites are Not well kept Lastly, you can hear the residents yelling / physically fighting in their RVs at 2:30-3am . we heard a women crying from fighting with her abusive boyfriend . It was a very intense fight that it woke us up . Other than that, we made the best of our stay . But not sure if we will return .

Southern California's Fishing Camp
Great little stop over on a trip
It was better than we expected. All the sites were on the little lake and the site we got was well shaded. This was important because of the heat. Staff is great and did their best to make us feel comfortable. It was a great little stop over on a journey. Next time we will take it vantage of the fishing!

Southern California's Fishing Camp
Loved the lake and it’s inhabatants
Loved our stay! The permanent residents were all friendly. Loved the outdoor feel! The only thing that was terrible were the flies, but being in the backyard of the dairy farms and chicken farms it’s unavoidable. We would definitely go back with a screened enclosure
