Coastal Forest Farm is a 13-acre family farm. The farm is complete with a seasonal pond, open pastures, and a forest. The forest includes ferns, a variety of mushrooms (please don't touch them unless you are knowledgable about mushrooms), flowers, and mossy-covered old-growth Sitka trees. At night you can hear the sounds of the ocean nearby and the frogs in the forest.Private, wooded area available for fully contained RVs, travel trailers, and campers. There is only 1 site, so it’s perfect for a peaceful getaway with beautiful large trees and coastal sunsets. The campsite is fully fenced to allow children and pets to roam safely. This spot is also ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with Lake Earl Wildlife area (the largest freshwater coastal lagoon in California ) located across the street, Kellogg Beach and Tolowa Dunes State Park located within a couple of miles. The ocean’s close enough that you can hear the waves at night. Smith River and Jedidiah Smith Redwoods State Park are just a short 5-10 minute drive for hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, sunning, and other fresh water fun. So bring your kayaks, bikes, surfboards, walking shoes, hammocks, or anything else to enjoy all the beauty and adventure the Northern California Coast has to offer.

Coastal Forest Farm Camp
This place is a gem! Huge, well maintained campsite that is minutes from the beach and trails. The best part was being greeted by three pigs when we arrived!

Coastal Forest Farm Camp
This site was amazing! It was a large level area that was private and surrounded by beautiful trees and foliage, even early in the spring. The host was so generous with his time showing our children the farm animals. How special! We bought fresh eggs for breakfast that were beautiful and delicious. He also gave us great recommendations on where to best hike the redwoods saving us the time debating all the options and giving us more time to enjoy the visit. The large firepit was well stocked with dry wood, starters, and even a lighter. They were so understanding when our plans changed, going above and beyond. We didn't need to run to town for anything but it is close enough if you need supplies and easy access to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. I cannot recommend this HipCamp enough.

Definitely Recommend
What a great spot. It’s private and a large site. This camp is close to really cool beaches and still off the beaten path. It’s a great site for a family or to bring your pups, and waking up next to the cutest cows in the world is a bonus!

Coastal Forest Farm Camp
Great Private Camping!
Our family had an excellent time at Vanessa's. It was exactly what we were looking for. We have two (decently) well behaved dogs but they don't do very well at busy campgrounds. We had lots of privacy and our dogs were able to run free because of the fenced area. Our girls had a blast feeding the farm animals each day, sometimes multiple times a day! Also, the beach was only about a mile away, so we either biked or drove there each day to check out the sunset or low tide. It was so close to everything that we wanted to do (although it's a good hour or so from the southern parts of Redwood; however, I doubt there were closer options that also had the beach, convenience of the groceries, etc...). Vanessa was so warm and welcoming and provided firewood and chairs, which was so nice! We'd love to come back someday and explore more of the beautiful area and we'd for sure book her great campsite again! Thank you Vanessa and family!

Coastal Forest Farm Camp
Amazing and beautiful spot!
My mom and I decided to go on a long coastal road trip this year. We absolutely loved staying at the farm and will be keeping it in mind for our own future adventures and the adventure of family/friends. Vanessa was an excellent host and the farm is so peaceful. 10 out of 10!
