Charming, dry and warm!
Andres was so responsive to making arrangements and hospitable on site. We had a great stay! Tried the wines as well - lovely!

Flat Above the Winery Pond
This is a lovely spot for campers who bring their own gear. We enjoyed the chorus of frogs coming from the pond and all the beautiful wild flowers.
We opted to do a wine tasting with the host which was very informative. This is a nice local spot.

Flat Above the Winery Pond
Andrew came right out when I arrived to welcome me and shared some tips for the site and things to see nearby. He also offered a fire ring for me as the area had gotten some recent rains so a small fire was okay. He allowed gathering wood from the area around the camp which was very nice. The site is very quiet and has a lovely view with lots of natural light. It is visible to a shared driveway that gets almost no traffic but the few cars that did pass can see right into the camp and pit toilet. Not a huge deal but noticeable. All together a lovely evening in a safe and welcoming place.

Practical
Overall we had a great experience, host is very kind and flexible. It was a good spot to stop for on the way, good price, not a scenic view for sure.

Gazebo Below the Winery
The gazebo below the winery was quaint and the bed was very comfortable. Andrew and his wife were good hosts. I recommend doing the wine tasting if available as the hosts are very knowledgeable about all things wine. The winery is conveniently located by the Avenue of the Giants or on the way to Shelter Cove.
I also recommend Brass Rail Bar in Redway if you're looking to meet the locals and have a few drinks during your stay at the Humboldt Winery.
