Come stay in our cozy little cabin tucked in an alder forest. Only a few minutes drive from downtown Arcata, it’s like being in the middle of the woods, right in town. This is a quiet neighborhood and is bike-friendly for getting around town. Feel free to ask us for recommendations on places to eat, get a drink, or find an adventure in Arcata and surrounding areas. We are located less than 40 minutes from Redwood National and State Parks where you can find incredible hiking trails!Come stay in our cozy little cabin tucked in an alder forest. Only a few minutes drive from downtown Arcata, it’s like being in the middle of the woods, right in town. This is a quiet neighborhood and is bike-friendly for getting around town. Feel free to ask us for recommendations on places to eat, get a drink, or find an adventure in Arcata. The cabin is a short walk from the parking spot. There is a full size bed, but we do NOT provide linens or bedding so please bring your own. There is a blanket for chilly nights. Please keep in mind it can get cold at night so please plan accordingly. There are lights and electricity in cabin. Please keep in mind this is a camping experience and while the cabin provides shelter, it is rustic. Feel free to explore the garden/orchard/greenhouse area (through the small gate by the cabin), just be sure to close the gate behind you to keep the deer out. As noted, there are an abundance of banana slugs during some times of the year. They are harmless and sometime a little too friendly. Feel free to gently relocate them from around the cabin if needed. *Fall 2023 Note: We are constructing a new house near the cabin at this time. There may be construction noise during the daytime (9am-5pm) some days of the week.

Bayside Cabin

It’s a nice cabin to shelter from the weather with a woodstove, and wood is provided. The outside kitchen however is not that great (only one burner working), and not sheltered from rain. The shower that’s available is a fully outdoor shower, which was not advertised. All in all we felt it was a nice small upgrade from a regular camping stay, but rather overpriced for what it was.

Highly recommend

Great place not too far from Arcata. Ted was very gracious. Place was cozy and convenient. Also very clean! Just remember to bring sleeping gear with you.

Love this little site. Shower had hotttt water which was nice in the chilly weather. Everything about the site was super cute and rustic. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen !

Bayside Cabin

I absolutely loved staying with Ted and Emily at Bayside. It was super adorable and absolutely beautiful. The combination of rustic and modern made it absolutely perfect. Easy to find as long as you follow Ted's notes... yep, I tried google maps and it was WAY wrong...lol. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone.
