Amazing night sky
This is a super convenient spot to stop not too far off of the 40. It’s close enough to the road but at night feels like you’re miles away = huuuuge night sky with incredible stars. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed in the owner’s dog barking all night when we were there…

Nice quick camp and sweet dogs.
Angela is friendly and made sure we were able to find her place. Her dogs are sweet and curious. The bathroom is an open pit toilet (there is no door so one of the pups did surprise me while in the middle of using it), I actually prefer it to most pit toilets as you don't have the trapped smell and you can have a nice view. However, beware the exposed nail ends in the walls. The area is remote, so make sure to bring what you need when you go because there were no stores around when we stayed. Sunset was beautiful and the stars were amazing. We had hoped for UFOs but instead got a shooting star, I'm not mad about it. Great spot for a quick camp while on a road trip.

It's a bit off the beaten path, but a really lovely spot in the open desert. Angela and her family were very hospitable and even brought over some burning logs so I didn't have to start a fire from scratch. Quick but peaceful stay.

Beautiful landscape
The landscape is lovely and the site was nicely prepared--ground flattened and cleared of stones for the tent, fire pit ready to go. The toilet is less than what one might expect--a curtain held in place by magnets (it was windy when we were there, so the magnets were struggling to keep it in place) and it's a toilet seat on a bucket lined with a trash bag. Compostable, meaning you put a scoop of dirt on top when you're done. I couldn't get the shower water to get warm, but maybe I was doing something wrong...Beautiful sunset, sunrise, and stars and the dogs are very cute and friendly.

False Advertising
Angela was very helpful prior to our arrival, answering all of our questions quickly. We had been delayed in our arrival, and she was very easy going about all our changed plans. And made sure we found the place without a problem.
However, when we finally go there, we couldn't stay. We left immediately despite knowing we wouldn't be getting our money back.
The spot was advertised as "pull through." But it required that we drive off the road and onto the rocky desert. We did not have a high clearance vehicle. If we had known the situation, we would have pulled our trailer with our truck not our suburu. Basically, we couldn't get to the site. Angela insisted that we could, but we didn't want to try and have car problems in the middle of no where.
We had chosen this particular site in large part because it was advertised as off leash for dogs. When I took my dogs out of the car, as we were trying to figure out where to turn around, she told me to keep them on the leash because her dogs were around. I don't mind keeping them on a leash, but it was false advertising. Really made me mad. That cinched it for me - we left immediately.
