Iron Quail Ranch is a modern off-grid homestead. The ranch lies in the center of Avra Valley, Arizona on former farm and ranch land which has gradually returned to its natural state of mesquites, ironwoods, cacti, and natural grasses. The ranch sits beautifully positioned between Saguaro National Park and Ironwood Forest National Monument. At Iron Quail Ranch we offer you a private and secure RV or tent campsite on 15 acres adjoining over 200,000 acres of public lands. There are unobstructed views of Saguaro National Park (West) and a private entrance into Ironwood Forest National Monument. There is abundant wildlife thriving in the riparian watershed on the property. There is easy access to both National parks from the property via ATV/UTV, car/truck, or even horseback. The level campsites can fit everyone from a tent camper up to 40-foot RVs. There is good cell phone reception on all major carriers at the property. Potable water, a sewer dump station, an outdoor kitchen, and a modern outhouse are available on the property. 120v electric charging stations are also available to recharge your small portable electronic devices.

Campsite 'Lina

Top Notch Campsite

This was a top rate experience in every respect. The campsite was well laid out, and included a tent pad; dining room complete with metal roof, solar lights, and rain barrel with spigot; fire ring with shovel, water bucket, and wall for sitting; driveway long enough for a second tent and car or RV. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and very well put together. Michael was welcoming, friendly and very responsive. I highly recommend this spot. Also, it's only about a 15 minute drive to Saguaro West, an hour from Saguaro East, and 45 minutes from Catalina State Park. It's also right outside of Ironwood Forest National Monument. I would stay here again!

Beautiful Iron Quail Ranch

We loved our 2-night stay here! Such a beautiful site with great amenities: covered table area, fresh water, super nice bathroom with hot water and shower, outdoor kitchen area and solar lighting. Plus chickens and goats. And quail! Ideal location for exploring Saguaro National Park. Mike and Sabina were friendly and approachable.

Michael was a great host with a very lovely property! They gave us privacy but were also always there to help if we needed. It was very nice getting to stay so close to Saguaro National Park and you can even see the park visitor center from the campsite. The showers and kitchen area were also so great to have! Would defintely stay here again!

I loved tent camping on Micheal’s ranch! He was the perfect host. There was a scenic view with gorgeous night time skies filled with stars! We loved the gazebo, picnic table, and the whole site was perfectly crafted to enjoy our camping trip. He even has firewood for a great sale if you run out. The location was super close to the nearby national park and the Tucson mountain park. The ranch was beautiful. There were chickens, goats, and a lovely garden. The bathroom and shower was exactly what we needed for a multi-night stay and extremely clean. I highly recommend staying here. Be sure to get the farm fresh eggs!!!! 1000% better than anything you can buy in a store. 10/10.

Splendid stay at Iron Qual Ranch!

I enjoyed Michael's farm and all the amenities available. It's 5 minutes from Saguaro National Park and plenty of hiking. Clear skies at night made for a nice evening dinner by campfire. The working Pups do Bark but know they keep away everything or alert Michael when it is important. That was very comforting!

Michael was a fantastic host! The property is so peaceful. We loved watching the goats play from a distance as they are being protected by their gorgeous guardian dog! I enjoyed chatting with Michael about their animals and their day to day on the property. The bathroom/shower building he built on the property was incredible. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. We are definitely going to be coming back out for a longer stay and to watch the incredible sunset again!
