Glenreagh Gardens

1 site · RV10 acres · Edmonton, AB
Glenreagh Gardens sits on 80 acres most of which is which is farmed with a small chunk devoted to pasture and gardens. We’ve created a little oasis on a few acres in the back right by a man made pond that is a beautiful spot for a getaway where the sights and sounds of the country will surround you. The land is pretty natural, meaning we don’t mow or trim a lot of it, and it is definitely dry camping with no services. On the farm, we have a small herd of Alpacas you are able to visit as well as a vegetable garden and many flower gardens to cruise through (guided) if you'd like. At this time, we do not allow pets. This is with the safety of your pets in mind for 2 reasons. One, alpacas and dogs do not get along. Secondly, we have a large guardian farm dog and she is trained to guard our property and the herd of alpacas. We are located a few minutes from the Town of Barrhead which offers many amenities including many restaurants, a state of the art swimming pool, bowling alley and movie theatre. Shopping downtown Barrhead is a must as the shoppes on main street offer some true small town charm. A 10 minute drive will take you to Thunder Lake which is a real treat to spend some time at on a warm day. There, you will find an abundance of walking trails and when the weather is right, you can go swimming, boating and fishing as well. Bring your golf clubs! Barrhead Golf and Country Club is a 18 hole golf course a mere 5 minute drive from our location. We also have a second smaller 9-hole golf course located right in the town of Barrhead. Glenreagh Gardens is located on pavement, bring your bikes and bike to town or go for a country cruise and enjoy the sights of our community. So, even though your rustic campsite is located in the country, there is plenty to do nearby! And, after you've had a full day of exploring, you come home to a little slice of the country.

Enchanted forest

7 sites · RVs, Tents10 acres · Athabasca, AB
I own 10 acres of land surrounded by farmers. We used to raise chickens and make big gardens every years, but my husband had health issues and we pretty much stopped. My husband has since passed away and I find that this property is getting too big for me. The best part about my place in my opinion is that it is mostly trees and very natural, and of course that there is a nice lake called Long island lake 15 minute drive from my home. It's fenced all around and extremely private. Big from yard for sports and lots of natural beauty all around.
