No porta potty until April 1. You must have a camp toilet. The site offers primitive camping on a land bridge between two ponds, just a fire ring, metal table, and comfortable chairs. Also a concrete table and 3 benches. Mature forest for hiking, bird watching. A canoe, small johnboat, or kayaks are OK for the ponds. There are two creeks and two ponds. 130 acres of forest, field, creeks, and an old borrow pit that is now the pond area. I prefer mature couples and small groups, with emphasis on mature. It is 25 min. to Cape Henlopen State Park (great beach). 10 minutes to Killen's Pond State Park. If you have a larger boat, the boat ramp for Haven lake is across the street from the property and Blair's & Abbot's Pond are down the road. A Teardrop camper is OK for this site. My ponds have deep water with steep sides, no children, please. I'm not a fan of teenagers either, they are always getting into something, better to find a place with amenities, like nearby Killen's Pond State Park. No swimming. I have two campsites, but there is plenty of space in between camps and woods to explore. The property is on the edge of town, so there is some highway noise, industrial noise, and the possibility of farm work happening around you. This is not a party place. Leave it the way you found it. Pack it out, please. Also, please don't throw eggshells, nutshells, or onion peels around camp. Yes, they are biodegradable but not pretty. Don't hack down live trees or break branches off trees in the middle of camp, or anywhere else. Yes, that has happened more than once. There are plenty of fallen branches and kindling in the woods. ~~ Thank you

This private, natural oasis is a stunning place to experience camping and take a break from the world beyond. I've been visiting Between the Ponds annually for four years now to reconnect with a group of treasured, close friends, and the site has woven itself into the fabric of our relationship. Candidly, I have been reluctant to offer the glowing review it deserves for fear of letting the secret out and compromising our access to this hidden gem tucked away in Kent County, Delaware.
Michele is always an excellent hostess and sees to it that our stay is always a positive one and encourages us to make full use of the setting.
Don't miss an opportunity to enjoy a night out at Between the Ponds.
Fantastic private camping space in between two scenic ponds, surrounded by tall pines that allows you to drive up and set up camp next to your vehicle. The Host - Michele is absolutely wonderful, very friendly and informative about the property and the surrounding terrain. In conversation you feel like you’ve known her for ages. I hope to have an opportunity to return and use the space as one of my annual truck camping spots.
What a fantastic site! Beautiful land in a great area. Lots to do. Michele was so lovely and so helpful. Plus we got lucky with the weather - it was perfect!
Absolutely gorgeous and great fishing! What more could you ask for?

Another great stay at Between the Ponds. It was pouring rain the whole time but that didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves and having a relaxing time. A day in the woods is better than a day in the office any time. Even if it rains.

Thanks for helping me out with that clogged culvert. And thanks for being a respectful camper!
This trip was just as amazing as our last…maybe better! Amazing site and Michele is such a great host.
Loved it here so much I came back a week later for NYE. It rained most of the 2nd day, but didn't have any issues with excessive mud or flooding. Still had a great time. Will definitely return again. Host is a wonderful lady who also makes a darn good black eye pea!

This was a beautiful spot. Would definitely stay here again given the chance. Very peaceful. I felt pretty safe solo camping with my K-9 unit for the holiday weekend. Not a single complaint from me. Even the city sounds weren't bad. You catch traces of the world going on around you, but it sounds sooooo far away you know you're safely tucked between the ponds and it's nowhere near you. It's more of a distant echo.
Loved it here. Absolutely loved it.

Yet another great stay at the ponds. The leaves are changing color and the weather was perfect for fall camping. Still got some fish to bite. More pickerel than bass. Michele was as always in touch and very accommodating.

Thank you for being great guests. I'm glad you had a nice time.
