Gorgeous location;lovely hosts
Arrived right before dark and chatted with Dale for a minute as he had just finished mowing the camp grounds. Awesome location and setup with everything you need. Night activated sign indicating camp site # is one of the classiest things I’ve ever seen. No complaints, would recommend!
Great spot, loud party venue
This location is clean, accessible, and has a great view and vibe. We camped here a few years back and decided to come again. They’ve added a large event space/wedding venue, which is beautiful. But you should be aware that there may be loud party noises that break the illusion of camping. It would be great if hosts made events known to campers before their stay!
In general it seems like the hosts have put effort into setting up camping on their property—the sites are large and well maintained and the firewood we ordered was waiting for us when we arrived. The wildflowers all around the sites were beautiful and the fire rings were nice with bricks stacked around the outside. We went Labor Day weekend so blueberries were not in season any longer. We didn’t meet the hosts. Despite all that, I would not stay here again, and here is why...
Sites do not have any shade. It looks like they have planted a tree in each site but this may not provide relief from direct sunshine for several years. It was hot during the day. If you have a shade tent this may not be a big deal. We would have spent more time at the site but instead stayed out most of the day bc we dreaded going back since there was no escaping the sun.
There was a faint smell in the air from the chicken farm nearby. It wasn’t constant but was definitely not a welcome smell.
The bathroom and shower are really far from the sites. We and guests staying at the other sites literally drove there. You could walk but it’s a long and dirty road. I’m glad we had a bathroom available, but it was very inconvenient. Also shower doesn’t have a light. I propped up my cell phone but maybe a motion detector light would be good?
There is no place to wash dishes close to site.
This place could definitely work for some people! I just wanted to be super honest about what you can expect.
This was a great location, semi private and nice to have a bathroom/shower. It was beautiful and minimal mosquitoes which was unexpected. Loved having a fire pit and picnic table also. Would definitely recommend! Lots to do in the area for the outdoors.
