Our 250+ year-old Historic farmhouse sprawls over 12 acres and backs directly to Auburn Mill State Park. Surrounded by forest, trails, creeks, streams, and plenty of wildlife. Best mountain biking around at nearby White Clay Creek, Lums Pond, and Brandywine Creek State Park. If you're a hiker or explorer, a short walk down the hill takes you to the historic Village of Yorklyn where the historic buildings of NVF still stand. Great for explorers. It's surrounded by open parkland which also includes hiking trails up into the woods. A great spot to relax in Yorklyn is the DewPoint Brewery just a short walk from our home.

If you're into history there's no better location. A nice car ride on rt 82 through "Chateau Country" will have you in awe of the rolling hills adorned with DuPont family mansions that are centuries old. Some of the mansions are available to tour such as Winterthur or Nemours. In Yorklyn we have the Marshall Mansion that sits high on the hill overlooking all of the town. It is now a museum and includes the largest steam car collection in the world. Tom Marshall loved his cars!

We are very laid back and love our home. We're often outside working in the yard soaking up the sun and fresh air. We enjoy having others over to share our little slice of heaven. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! ALL photos were taken within walking distance.

We had a great time on Amanda's property. We set up camp in a nice shady spot and spent the afternoon down at the nearby brewery listening to live music. It was a perfect fall weekend. After the brewery, we came back to the campsite and had a fire. Great stuff. There were a fair amount of bugs where we camped, so be sure to bring bug spray; a screened canopy would be a good thing to bring, too. We had a good time and would like to return at some point. Amanda's also very responsive and answered any questions I had.
