From our parking area, our private campsite is a short walk (3-4 minutes) by way of a well maintained footpath which leads you alongside a farm pasture, to a wooded trail that empties on to a level forest understory ideal for your hammock or tent. Our campsite is equipped with the necessities: a firepit with a removable grill, a table, your own private outhouse, and unlimited sights and sounds of nature. Trails leading from the campsite will usher you short distances to one of our best stargazing hilltops, to the shallow creek which runs alongside the campsite, through shaded forests and ridgetop views. Our pond, a short 7 minute hike, offers fishing, swimming or simply relaxing on the dock. For longer hikes, all trails connect to our larger network of maintained trails winding over hill and dale, through shaded forests and open (mowed) pasture trails offering the hiker farm-life views across our 80 acres. To make your packing lighter and your stay more comfortable, we offer the following "extra items" at an additional cost. This area was known by the Native Americans as "Pocatalico" (land of the fat doe), and first settled by Europeans around 1890. The property itself was first settled by a man named Mayford Jones, who set the first stones here around 1910. A Jenny Lynn style farmhouse was built and the property was known as one of the best developed farms in the area. Today, the forest has returned to what was once pasture land on the majority of the 100 acre plot, and a small but intensive sustainable forest farm has been taking shape since 2013 under the current host and occupant, who prefers the term "steward" rather than "owner".

We are working on a site for a single meat cow too! We have 2 sites, 1 is a trailer and 1 is a camping spot/cabin on top of our mountain. The cabin up there was built in the 60-70’s probably and is a total mess. People are welcome to stay in it if they choose. There is plenty of area for multiple tents near the cabin. This is a 12.5 acre mini farm. We have a garden, bee hive, 30 fruit trees, bamboo, hard wood trees, 4 wheeler trails, a pig, guinea fowl, chickens, ducks, turkeys, cats, and dogs. We are working on a site for a single meat cow too! We have 2 sites, 1 is a trailer and 1 is a camping spot/cabin on top of our mountain. The cabin up there was built in the 60-70’s probably and is a total mess. People are welcome to stay in it if they choose. There is plenty of area for multiple tents near the cabin. The trailer is a basic 1990’s trailer. Everything works in it. There is a furnace, 2 full size beds, a full kitchen and bath. There is a window AC for hot days.

Once known as Skyedanser Farms, horse ranch turned campsite. Five acres of land located “on the hill.” For several generations hay, gardens, and livestock have been raised on this land. Our campsite is primitive & hosts a picnic table, fire pit, and a grill. Our site is located to the right of our gravel driveway at the end of the field. You'll see a sign for the campsite, walk approx 600ft to enter the site. You must camp at our campsite. There are many other landowners surrounding our property. We are not responsible if you camp on someone else's land.

Quick Stay is located one minute below from Flat Hollow Farm. It is located beside a country store that is open 7 days a week! The property is flat with great open parking in the front and back of the rental house. To the side of the house there are 2 30amp plug ins! You can bring the largest 5th wheel they make and you can easily pull up to the plug in. There is a water hose available beside the plug ins. There is a fire pit. Firewood available a small cost. There is Wifi. The trailheads are located all around Quick Stay making this place a dream come true for off road enthusiasts. 16 miles from the Capitol of West Virginia. Quick Stay is also available to rent by the night. It is a very spacious and cozy home suitable for large groups.

What a cool little place. Stanley and his family have something going for them. The cabin as your night time ambiance is great for any dark enthusiast. 4 German Shepherds for those lovers of the breed. Having the turkey as your white noice was a great experience. So many other cool city escapes scattered across their property (even pigs). Take out what you take in as always!

This place is a private spot on about 80 acres. There is a wonderful path through the woods to the top of a hill for stargazing at night. The catch and release pond is across the street on their property and just the perfect size. There are multiple trails throughout the property. Lots of wildlife and beautiful nature to immerse yourself in. The hostess is very friendly and accommodating. Oh, I would highly recommend getting the lights to surround your tent area to make it easy to find your way back if you night hike. This is the perfect place to unplug!

This was such a lovely trip! Between the sounds of nature, a nice fire at night, and some fishing and hiking during the day, this trip was everything that I hoped for! Adam is an excellent host! My family needed some extra accommodation as the camp was a little further walk than we expected, and Adam made sure to get us to a campsite where we were nice and comfortable! The area is lush and quiet, we loved being close to the farm. There are plenty of good spots for top-notch stargazing as well!

I really enjoyed the peace and quiet of camping on Beth and Brian’s land. They were very accommodating to me (a motorcycle camper). I purchased firewood from them and it was there when I arrived. Will definitely camp here again and will shoot a video for my YouTube channel. A very nice experience that I highly recommend. But a word of caution, if you are intending to ride your motorcycle to the campsite, it better be an off-road or adventure bike. Otherwise it is best to park in the provided parking area.

This is hand's down my favorite Hipcamp yet! It's a beautiful spot, perfect for being immersed in nature and "off grid", although I did have cell reception while I was there. I had planned on using this as a base camp for exploring other parks in the area, but after arriving I didn't want or need to leave! The interconnected trails on the property provide plenty of hiking and wandering opportunities, and the pond is the perfect addition for swimming, fishing, or just relaxing. Beth is a wonderful host! She was kind, helpful, and communicative, and her directions made getting there very easy. I"m already planning my next trip there! I'm already planning my next trip back!

My daughter and I loved camping on Beth's property. It was beautifu, quiet, and relaxing. Beth was really nice and helped us bring all of our stuff down to the campsite. I recommend following Beth's directions she gives to the site. I can verify that GPS takes you the wrong way. Internet is spotty, so take a picture of the directions to save. This was a great private camping getaway. We loved it!!

Beautiful area to camp and I can’t say enough how helpful and courteous the host is! He was busy working the farm and went out of his way to help us haul our gear to and from the campsite. Secluded private campsites, a one for fishing, boating, swimming, and miles of beautiful hiking trails through the Appalachian foothills of south-eastern Ohio! We will definitely be back!

This is a magnificent site for a very private experience. Beth is amazing, helpful and checks in via the app to be sure you are comfortable. I advise having a wagon to help move gear between the campsite and your vehicle, but Beth also helped with a 4 wheeler. Plenty of trails for walking on the farm and the nice little pond for swimming and floating. You are a short distance to Athens OH, a delightful town with all needed amenities. Also Hocking Hills and Lake Hope state parks are nearby for stuff to do in the area. I loved it. Nelson

We had a great stay at the treehouse. Rob, the host welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. Our bed was comfortable and the toilet/shower area was within feet. We enjoyed spending time in the hammocks beneath the treehouse and the artisian drinking water provided was most refreshing. The property is very peaceful and we enjoyed the walk through the woods to the waterfall area. The dogs and cats on staff were spot on as well. We would definitely return and highly reccommend.

We had a great stay at Beth’s private campsite! The spot was peaceful, well-maintained, and just what we needed to unwind and disconnect for a few days. Beth was friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish. We enjoyed leisurely fishing at the pond each day but mostly spent our days relaxing and reading amongst the trees and listening to the birds and other nature sounds surrounding us. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, private getaway.

Brian and Beth maintain a beautiful, quiet campsite for the perfect weekend get away. The swimming pond is a great amenity for those hot days and the entire site is nestled in the woods keeping it significantly cooler than if you were baking in the sun. As we prepared to leave we noticed some car issues and Brian and Beth went out of their way to let us borrow some tools to make sure we got home safely. Cannot say enough nice things about the pair and their beautiful property! We would certainly love to come back!

Amazingly beautiful location! The waterfall and cove area was a short hike away from the main house, and is totally worth going to even when it's just a trickle. There are a lot of carpenter bees and wasps living in the treehouse, but no one got stung and we coexisted well. Just something to think about if you are afraid of flying, stinging insects. The shower in the bathhouse is great, and the camping toilet worked well enough. Rob is a great host! He was communicative and always answered our questions quickly. The farm dogs are friendly and adorable, but will rush your car to greet you which might be overwhelming to some dogs. Totally would recommend staying here overall.
