There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night. There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field. There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site. There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies. Interstate 79 is 32 miles away. We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop. Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay. We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation. The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

The property contains a Tree Fort for sitting/relaxing/hunting. There is a tree stand for hunting. 2-5 min drive to the local State parks that have canoe/boat access. 10-15 min drive to Deep Creek Lake. Close to Wisp Ski Resort. Close to BlackBear Tavern that has go carting, mini golf, food, beer, etc. Shed has a NEMA 14-50 charging port for charging EV's. There are also 9v outlets available outside of the Cabin for other appliances. I have camped several times on my property with my EV! Wonderful time! Recommend Heidi's Bakery for Food/Baked goods or Traders Coffee House for Coffee and Breakfast.

Tommy's place is gorgeous land! There are nice fields and woods. It felt entirely safe for women to camp alone. It was easy to find using the instructions and we didn't need 4wd. Would definitely go back! Tommy is delightful and didn't make fun of me when I said I saw a big bear. It was really a cow in the neighbor's pasture, way off in the distance.

We are fortunate enough to start our camping adventures on Sunday nights. There have been only a couple of other guests here since we got here on Sunday. It is raining today, but very enjoyable. We got to cook breakfast over the campfire and we’ll just improvise this evening. This place is real getting back to nature. It’s good to just enjoy the quiet of nature. This is our second trip to this campground we rate it pretty high.

We enjoyed Site #4. On end, no one drove by us. On bank of rive.r. little path through over growth to the river. Campsites side by side. Luckily only one quiet person next door to us for one of the two nights. Def offf main road, 3 miles. About 15 minutes to town of Phillippi, WV. Owner came first night with wood. Get what ya need then...like 4 big bundles for two nights. We ran out with just two. Enjoyed the moonrise and stars!!!!

Julie was such a kind and accommodating host. If you love animals, you’ll love this farm. Wide open spaces, a giant fire pit, very low light pollution at night for amazing stargazing. The bathroom with toilet and deep wash basin connected to the barn brought so much convenience and comfort. I just can’t express how welcoming and friendly Julie and her husband Shannon were to me. 10/10, I plan on coming back!

Nice stop in the woods along river. We stayed in an RV Spot that had electric and fresh mountain water if you needed it. The Grounds are spread out well. Its more for tents and boondoockers. Would suggest to come with full fresh water tanks and empty gray and black before coming. The road to the campground is a bit narrow, curvy, but doable. Be prepared to move over at times to let a cars pass opposite direction. We had a 25ft Class C. All in all it was quiet at night. The river was low but I suspect some good fishing during stock time.

Some two hours away but worth the trip. Some half hour away and great too! Plan a week to see it all! Cute buses you can rent and a tipi (tee pee). Which is awesome!!

We absolutely loved this spot. Very secluded, which was exactly what we needed for a reset weekend. Only one other plot we are aware of this property, and it wasn’t in use (a small cabin on the other side of a tree line). Nestled in the Appalachian foothills, the lush greenery and vibrant fall colors made this plot especially perfect. We loved the meadow, and having such a large, secluded space to ourselves for the weekend. We will be back!
