A great place for a weekend camp, but make sure you bring some padding or mattress to sleep on. The tent sites feel secluded but you still clean and easily accessible bath facilities. The staff is super friendly and keep the grounds clean. Most of the sites are beside the river so you can leave your tent and dip a toe in if you'd like. I want to reiterate the need for some padding though, as well as someway to potentially level your sleeping area. The sites have some large(ish) rock gravel on them which can make getting your tent placed just right a little difficult.

Julie was a fantastic host. I requested a site a little further away from the others. Julie went above and beyond. She mowed an entire section for us. She helped us gather rocks to make a fire pit. She shared the history of her family’s farm. Her property is absolutely beautiful and I definitely want to return. Oh and New River Gorge National Park is just a 30 minute drive away.

Julie is super friendly, the spot nice and flat, and the farm is very large, beautiful, and quaint with some great old structures, wild turkey, and deer. The night sky was absoluting stunning, we could even see the milky way. We will be returning with more family to enjoy some star gazing, as well as the proximity to Summersville Lake, which is absolutely great for a boating excursion. Highly recommend if you need a spot to camp! Thanks to Julie for being such a nice hostess.

Awesome spot right on the creek! Clean creek for swimming! Even after quite a bit of rain the site was still nice and clean and great for holding tent spikes. Aside from a few cars going to the cabins down the road, the spot was pretty secluded and great for taking the pups! Will definitely return, thanks!

First of all, Julie was a gracious hostess, from the text messages about our change in arrival, to the careful directions on how to access her land, to the gracious welcome we received, to the delicious biscuits and ham she provided us on her beautiful porch. It was just perfect. My friend and I camped together, her in her tent and me in my small pop-up trailer. We camped in the corner near the trees, and it was really a lovely spot. I think one time my bird app recognized 10 bird calls. The site was grass, and the grass was clean and comfortable to walk on. I was actually barefoot or in sandals most of the time. It rained while I was there, and it made the grass wet, but there was no issue of ponding water or mud. We were there when it was hot and humid, but the beautiful surroundings and Julie's willingness to help in any way she could made it all worthwhile. I absolutely want to go there again in the fall when it is a little cooler. Thank you, Julie. I feel better for having met you and Penny and camped on your land. 🩷

Lovely spot on the river near the train tracks. Our spot was the only with a sandy base for the tents; judging by the gravel infill they had some issues with Hurricane Helene that I'm sure they'll resolve in time. Absolutely being your own tent protection if you're camping on the groubd. Parking was a challenge with our large car, but manageable. All the sites feel decently private, and although it's quite a trek to the bathhouse there is a portajohn near the sites. Really worth it if you like swimming the river, floating or boating, trainspotting or the WVRF. We'll certainly be back!

Our Mission is to provide experiences that are character building in nature through Summer Camping Programs and other programmatic events for children, youth, and adults; and to provide opportunities for recreation, rest, and renewal through the use of our facilities as a Center of Christian Hospitality. We have five camp sites that overlook the Bluestone Lake Reservoir.  Each is a clearly defined 60' x 20' space along one side of a level grass field, and each is equipped with a 50/30/20 amp electric pedestal, water spigot, sewer drop, picnic table, and an above ground steel campfire pit. There is also a shower house available for Hipcampers to use.   We have two price points: 1. Our Regular Price per night is $35 based on double occupancy. Each additional person (ages 12 and older, max = 6 people per site) is $10. 2. Our price increases to $50 per night for the months of June and July which is our high season. Each additional person (ages 12 and older, max = 6 people per site) is $10. Youth and Children ages 11 and younger are free, so keep that in mind when you select the number of guests in your party!
