This listing is located on The Riverbend Preserve, a private nature park, so there is no hunting, fishing, or foraging. Please do not discharge any firearms during your stay. The forest to the west of the Preserve is Washington State land, and on occasion locals go up into the hills to target shoot. In the unlikely event that this happens during your stay, don't be alarmed; the British are *not* coming. This land is a nature preserve with lots of wildlife. You're welcome to bring your pet, but keep small animals close to you as there are coyotes and predatory birds in abundance. Black bears and mountain lions also live in the hills, so please always be cautious while hiking and exploring. If you use AT-T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or most major carriers you can expect good cell service. Single use or small cellular carriers may have intermittent signal or no signal at all after you leave the City of Chehalis behind. Most important of all, relax and enjoy your stay in this incredibly peaceful and secluded valley. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints!

Cozy, rustic farm stay on a peaceful 5-acre retreat! Welcome to Homestead Hideaway- A restful escape from city life, perfect for solo resets, couples, or quiet weekends away. Wake to farmland views, grazing cattle, and a continental breakfast tray (farm-fresh eggs, pastries, fruit, juice) waiting in your fridge/counter. Your private guest suite is located in the last two stalls of our original horse barn, featuring charming half-split stall doors and a thoughtfully designed outdoor bathroom just steps away. Enjoy the privacy of your own space while staying on shared family land that live up in the main house but give guests space unless needed. You’ll enter through a private gate using a designated guest code. After turning left down the gravel drive, is your private space/outdoor fire pit, picnic area. (Please also note your outdoor restroom). Through barn gate, into the covered patio, in the last two doors, your Kitchen Corral and Comfort Corral. The Kitchen Corral includes a breakfast bar, mini fridge, wooden fire stove, couch, tv and small living space- including welcome book. The Comfort Corral has a cozy bed, towel wardrobe, tv , half bath with pedestal soaking tv and shower. Also provided is an interior door courtesy lock. Light switches are found just inside the left doorframe, at about head level. This is a working farm, so you may experience the natural smells, sounds, and dust of rural life. We keep the space clean and inviting, while embracing the rustic nature of our setting. The property is in transition with updates in progress- currently, guests use a clean/private well-maintained outdoor toilet station just outside the stalls, at your outdoor living space and fire pit. Please do not feed or touch the animals unless arranged in advance. While they may look friendly, they can be unpredictable. We’re happy to organize a safe interaction upon request. For safety reasons, we do not host pets or children at this time. No smoking inside or around the stalls, or gravel drive. Due to the complimentary breakfast, we cannot accommodate allergies. The little A-frame structure was perfect for my needs and stood up well to some pretty blustery weather on my first day. It takes a minute to locate the structure if you arrive in the dark and rain, as I did, but once I was oriented, all was well. Definitely recommend this instead of a tent if you're coming at a time of year when the weather is a bit unpredictable.

Kelly and Randy were so attentive and sweet!! We had such an incredible weekend and I’m so thankful they shared their space and sweet animals with us. Don’t skip out on the fresh farm egg breakfast and playing fetch with Boone. Our favorite goats were Milo and chance, special mention to lavender the chicken. This weekend was such a special memory for us and I’m thankful we spent my partners birthday here. We will be back for sure :)

Cydnie and Kim are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The farm and tents are well-maintained, clean, and very kid-friendly, making it perfect for families. There are plenty of activities for children, and the surroundings are safe and inviting. The hosts are attentive, friendly, and always ready to help, making our stay comfortable and memorable. Kelly's Geo-dome was exactly as advertised. There were heaters inside, which we used this morning. My friend Darcy characterized it as, "better than glamping." The power shut off last night after we were already in for the night so it didn't impact us. This morning, we easily got the power back on. There were very friendly dogs and also goats with whom we didn't interact. We will definitely be back next!

We stayed in the glamping tent and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I'd like to thank Paul for being so easy to work with- there was a glitch in the HipCamp app when I first tried to book my stay and I messaged him to request his help. He kept my time slot for unavailable to the public before even receiving payment until the booking issue was resolved, which was an incredible help in planning my vacation. The host's instructions were clear and easy, and the tent itself was in perfect condition exactly as advertised. It was set in a beautiful countryside farm lot with idyllic scenery. The wood stove was a nice touch. Would highly recommend this accommodation!

The glamping tent was gorgeous. We had a wonderful time, and slept very comfortably. There was a pull-out bed that would fit two adults comfortably (4 total in the tent) so we want to come back with friends this fall! James- the sweetest dog- hung around our site off and on during the stay, which our dogs loved, but FYI if you have reactive dogs you will definitely need to keep them tied up. We felt very comfortable here and our dogs had an amazing time as well. Gorgeous, peaceful piece of land.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay soooo much . We drove up from Seattle to explore Astoria/seaside . We arrived a little late and Paul reassured us that was okay last minute we let them know we’d like the fire pit and they had the propane ready to go for us when we arrived . The drive up wasn’t bad and it was easy to find with gps .The cabin we stayed in was very cozy, cute and perfect sized for us two , they also have wagons to get our things from the car to the cabin with ease cabin faced a secluded area and we really appreciated it . We also had service the whole time total plus . 10/10 recommend and we will be back

Host was gracious enough to let us put up our tent next to the canvas tent since we booked two sites. Location was easy to find yet was in a very quiet area! The sites and bathroom were well maintained and easily accessible. 10/10 would absolutely recommend
