If you feel like staying in, enjoy our Mr and Mrs Pacman games in your “mini arcade” or make use of some of the supplied board games or the sudoku/coloring books available. Relax on an iconic Seattle drag bar’s original “lips couch” and grab a book from our queer library with beer available for purchase in your kitchenette. This is a stand alone structure that is separate from our main house. There is no shower in this dry space, but there is a camping sink that functions like a normal kitchen sink with hot water capacity. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, “Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite” is a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, so don’t bob your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities. We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has a microbrewery, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, a plant store, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants.

This land has passed through many families but was first "managed" by Salish Indians who burned the prairie and harvested native plants for food, medicine, clothing, charms and more for 10,000 years. When European settlers arrived in the 1850s, burning the prairie all but ceased and that, along with the introduction of many new exotic species of animals, crop plants and weeds, began the degradation of the landscape. Over time our site was used to graze sheep and then raise pheasants (from 1944-1999). It was slated for housing development but several citizens rose up and prevented that from happening. Now the Pacific Rim Institute, a private nonprofit organization is the steward of this precious jewel of central Whidbey and the Pacific Northwest. We have a five-acre remnant prairie with over 80 species of native plants - critical to the restoration of degraded lands throughout the Salish Sea region. We have over two miles of walking trails for you. They traverse our prairie, savannas and forests. The land is full of color when the native wildflowers bloom from early spring through early autumn. We have a Native Plant Center where we grow up to 50 species of rare native plants. Ask us for a tour.

This backyard shed conversion is a perfect mix of comfy and quirky! Ms Pacman, Beanie Babies, a lips couch, and Space Jam all make an appearance in this suburban backyard glamping experience! At just 186 square feet, this spot is all yours to enjoy away from the noise of the city in our large and lush backyard. You will have full rein of a private patio to smoke or enjoy meals on our newly built cedar deck, or enjoy a drink in the shared hammock space under our towering Eastern Hemlock tree. Your quiet backyard refuge is newly converted with everything you’ll need for a fun weekend away. We are just two blocks from the bus stop with access to Seattle’s great transit system. This space is close to the airport, close to downtown, and walkable to the home of the The Rat City Roller Derby in White Center. And only two blocks from your door is Westcrest Park, a Greenbelt with trails and a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline. If you feel like staying in, enjoy our Mr and Mrs Pacman games in your “mini arcade” or make use of some of the supplied board games or the sudoku/coloring books available. Relax on an iconic Seattle drag bar’s original “lips couch” and grab a book from our queer library with beer available for purchase in your kitchenette. This is a stand alone structure that is separate from our main house. There is no shower in this dry space, but there is a camping sink that functions like a normal kitchen sink with hot water capacity. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, “Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite” is a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, so don’t bob your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities. We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has a microbrewery, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, a plant store, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants.

This land has passed through many families but was first "managed" by Salish Indians who burned the prairie and harvested native plants for food, medicine, clothing, charms and more for 10,000 years. When European settlers arrived in the 1850s, burning the prairie all but ceased and that, along with the introduction of many new exotic species of animals, crop plants and weeds, began the degradation of the landscape. Over time our site was used to graze sheep and then raise pheasants (from 1944-1999). It was slated for housing development but several citizens rose up and prevented that from happening. Now the Pacific Rim Institute, a private nonprofit organization is the steward of this precious jewel of central Whidbey and the Pacific Northwest. We have a five-acre remnant prairie with over 80 species of native plants - critical to the restoration of degraded lands throughout the Salish Sea region. We have over two miles of walking trails for you. They traverse our prairie, savannas and forests. The land is full of color when the native wildflowers bloom from early spring through early autumn. We have a Native Plant Center where we grow up to 50 species of rare native plants. Ask us for a tour.

We enjoyed our stay at the Glasshouse! The concept is really cool and we enjoyed the large space. Rochelle was responsive and quickly was able to find someone to fix the woodstove when we were having problems. If you are not confident in starting a fire I would definitely bring a fire starter. I am confident in my fire making skills, but we were not able to get a fire going, which made for a chilly stay. It feels relevant to note that the weather forecast was incredibly rainy so while the wood was dry, the humidity definitely had an effect (nobody's fault). Luckily there is a baseboard heater in the bedroom space as well as electric blankets so we were plenty warm at night! The dishwashing/handwashing station wasn't super obvious to us, and we hope in the future there will be a sink space to do these things.

We had a wonderful stay at the potting shed for our 2nd anniversary! Dave and Sharon are great and hospitable hosts who have put so much love and care into their property and this cabin. We had everything we needed and more and even though it was a very rainy weekend, we still got to enjoy the trails and gardens on the property with some raincoats on!! We woke up on our last morning to some delicious muffins dropped off in the kitchen and Dave cut us some mushrooms to take home with us! The kitchen was well-stocked and with it being super chilly outside the shower and kitchen sink still got warm!! This is such a cozy and peaceful place with all of the amenities that you’d need but with an outdoorsy glamping perk! We will definitely be back!

So glad we were able to spend our annversay on this amazing property. This getaway has been everything a more. Our family has a chance to connect with nature with each other while also enjoying individual solo time wonder the property. The fire pit and s’mores were our favorite. Second favorite were the dogs and picking flowers and learning about the Property. Even on a semi chilly fall day our body’s heart and soul were kept warm the entire stay. My daughter really enjoyed her loft and the WiFi. We slept sooo comfortably and cozy in the shed. This has been one of our favorite family getaway to date. Loved camping here so much that I reserved the Lotus tent to take a friend. Very spacious and comfortable with a cozy bed. I brought a couple Rumpl blankets as rain was forecast so it got colder out than is has been. Slept wonderfully. Nice composting toilet and kitchen area along with a propane fire pit and plenty of chairs. Everything we needed. Gary and staff were always happy to accommodate requests for anything we needed. Walked the loop trail up by the garden. Enjoyed finding mushrooms, gnomes and seashells in the woods. Just a great, relaxing weekend.

Depending on the season you may even find a fridge stocked with farm fresh eggs. The property that the campsite is located on is also fully gated so you won't have to worry about security and your privacy. Unless you need something you'll be fully left alone and safe. PLEASE note that Vintage Camping Trailers are petite. The walking path from the front to the back of the trailer is narrow. The bed is a FULL size mattress. That being said, we did spring for a very tall mattress so once you're in the bed you will be as comfy as possible. This camping experience is best for those who are also petite. Tall travelers may find the height of the inside shower and the entire camper a bit cramped. Additionally, the bed can most definitely fit two sleepers but please ensure you comfortably fit on a full size mattress before you commit. Think of this cabin as a private creekside glamping retreat but with all the amenities and conveniences of a cabin! Check out the brand new gorgeous farmhouse kitchen and living space added May 2023. The highlight of the cabin is the log bridge across the creek! You will feel like you are on an amazing hiking trail or in a fairytale on the rainforest-like grounds with a babbling brook or rushing creek running through it depending on how much rain we have had. Our property is directly across the street from access to the national forest service roads with miles of roads and trails. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are slowly renovating it over time. You will find plenty of imperfections, but also loads of charm. While the space is a work in progress, we don’t feel that the current state retracts from its functionality. We would like our guests to book this property because of the gorgeous location, outdoor amenities, and campground-like/cabin the woods vibe, while still having all the indoor amenities of a regular vacation rental cabin. Please keep this in mind when considering booking and have realistic expectations. Upon entering, you will first come into the sun room which contains a desk and work space. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. Welcome to Christmas Tree Ridge Hello, We live here full-time. Our space overlooks the Tahuya Valley to the south and sits above a deep, forested gully to the east. Once a Christmas tree farm, this land is now a quiet, off-grid spot to rest, explore, and recharge. Allisha offers hosting/planning for women’s-only camping retreats here. Retreat bookings are request only No other campers are booked during retreat weekends. 🏕 Site Overview: (See the site map in photos) Valley Ridge Lookout – Largest site, w/TiPi, big views, outdoor sink & shower, with outhouse nearby. West Perch – Smaller site with water and power, tucked along the western edge, pull through parking. Side Step – A simple park-n-camp offshoot along the lower driveway. Gully Vista – A hike-in, tent/hammock site, via a narrow trail down into the gullie. Most guests tent camp or bring vans. If your trailering, and the trailer weighs more than your 2WD tow vehicle, this place probably isn’t the best match. ✅ What Makes This Place Special: Backs up to 150+ acres of state timberland (10–20 year growth). Hunters: check regulations. Our new link trail connects to the Howell Lake ORV network—tight at first, then opens up. Trail map posted in outhouse. We’ve got firewood—might not be perfectly dry, but it burns. Bring kindling in wet seasons. Trash-free land. Please keep it clean. No glass (if you bring it, Do not break it). Howell Lake seasonal swimming hole nearby with rope swing. 2-mile hike (4/10 hardness) or 10-minute drive. Big night skies—great for moon/stargazing. Campground runs on solar. ⚠️ A Few Notes: Some sites have steep drops—stay alert, especially at night. 1-mile dirt driveway is bumpy—take it slow. 280ft water well, Fresh water, but passes through non drinking water rated tanks and lines so I can't legally recommend drinking it. Bring drinking water or use a filter. We love this land and look forward to sharing it with respectful guests. Let us know if you have any questions before you roll in.

3 sisters and our brother in law decided we wanted to make a place where people can enjoy the Northwest that we grew up in. It doesn't matter if you bring your own tent, drive an rv, or rent the luxury tent, the great outdoors is there for all to enjoy! We have great places to pitch your own tent and enjoy the rustic pleasures just being outdoors. The sites are rustic and access to trails are nearby. We also have a wonderful covered outdoor kitchen with propane grill, microwave, and coffee pot. A safe place to gather with family. Bring your RV and park and have a large site to yourself. You have room to spread out your awning without hitting the next vehicle. Each site has its own picnic table and fire ring. Also if you are in the mood you have a covered kitchen to meet and mingle with other guests. We also have a big screen tv in the kitchen so you don't miss the Seahawks games. Drive in and enjoy a lovely view of unspoiled woods from the deck of your canvas tent. Enter the door into a spacious area with a king or queen size bed and small kitchen area. Each tent has its own heat source for your comfort. Each tent has its table right outside on the deck but it you are feeling social come enjoy our outdoor kitchen. We are open year round and It is different every season Our guests love staying here "This site has absolutely everything you need. You'll want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but I think that was the only things I noticed I'd want. They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. You NEED to check this place out."
