Camp Keyser Forest Camp

8 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents5 acres · Swede Heaven, WA
Camp Keyser is a wooded 5 acre parcel in the mountains, near mountain loop highway - in the center of everything wonderful in the northern cascade mountains. We have one private cabin and 6 campsites. Tent campers will enjoy the lush landscape of a mature forest with sites along the (seasonal) Thirsty Creek. Nearby (3 minute walk), users can contemplate views of Whitehorse Mountain, Jumbo Mountain, Glacier Peak, and Whitechuck Mountain. This part of the Stillaguamish valley and the adjacent Mountain Loop Highway is known for a great selection of hiking trails, at all skill levels. It is perfect hub for all of your outdoor interests. The trailhead for the summit of Whitehorse Mountain is just a mile away, as is Old Mine Road trail (45 minute hike ending in 2 waterfalls). A 15-20 minute walk takes campers to a swimming hole in the cool Stillaguamish river for a dip or a paddle. Even closer is Whitehorse Regional Trail (great for biking, walking and horseback riding) built on the bed of the former BNSF railroad through the North Stillaguamish River Valley, spanning over 27 miles. The nearly level trail meanders through the valley, rewarding visitors with picturesque, landscape views of forests, farmland, streams and rivers, and mountain vistas. Sites have a generous fire pit and access to a Porta-Potty. For bathing I recommend cool dip in the Stillaguamish River. In season there is also fishing, snowshoeing, concerts at the blue grass festival grounds, a rodeo, and so much more.

Chuckanut Hills Farm & Camp

11 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents20 acres · Sedro Woolley, WA
Retreat to relax at Chuckanut Hills Farm and Campground, a 20-acre energy-regenerative, off-grid family farm nestled at the foot of Anderson Mountain and surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. 30 minutes south of Bellingham in the Chuckanut Mountains, the only finger of the Cascade Mountain Range that reaches all the way to the Salish Sea. This wooded forest is part of the Puget Lowland Forest Eco-Region. These hills were the native home of the Saquantch people, a Salish coast tribe that fished and hunted the mountains surrounding Lake Whatcom. They lived in long lodge homes and were later pushed out by the invading Lummi Tribe. The Lummi Tribe was later pushed out by Western logging companies, and the entire mountainous region was heavily logged for a number of years. Where our farm now rests was once the second of many logging camps built by Ed English, and he cut our gravel farm road in 1900; a railroad ran through the lower part of our property, taking logs from Lake Whatcom down to the little boom town of Seattle. Our intention while being caretakers of this ancestral land is to restore native plants, raise heirloom produce and heritage animals, and provide a restful nature paradise for people looking to spend time in the outdoors.

Forest Farmstead

8 sites · Lodging23 acres · Rockport, WA
Our old growth temperate rain forest homestead begins the wild and uncut wilderness that extends 40 miles to the Canadian boarder and beyond just as far. Before us it was part of Cascadian Farm (the organic food brand which still operates a lovely ice cream, esspresso, and berry stand adjacent to us), and before that it was one of the first farms this deep into the Cascade Range supplying food for the crews building the dams. We offer both a yurt and tree house. You will be on our small farm/homestead that is backed up to the Mount Baker National Forest with undisturbed forest all north all the way to the Canadian border to the north, Baker lake to the north west, and to the North Cascades National park to the North east. The Skagit River flows to the south of us. If you like freezing cold glacier water, we'll provide you with a map where you can walk down to the river to cool off at a safe swimming hole.Guests love staying here "Such a glorious and relaxed stay. The yurt really was a palace, it was so spacious and had many thoughtful amenities. We hiked on the mountain, forded a river and played with Hiland cows, all within walking distance of the yurt. I was worried that it would be cold but we were toasty and were even able to cook full course meals. Terry and Erin were the perfect hosts, responsive and yet non-instrusive. Thank you so much for letting us have this experience!"

The Property @ Wallace

3 sites · Lodging8 acres · Gold Bar, WA
DUE TO FAMILY NEEDS WE HAVE MOVED OUT OF STATE. THE PROPERTY IS UNDER PRIVATE ONWERSHIP AND THEY HAVE ELECTED TO KEEP IT PRIVATE AS OF JULY 14, 2023. Thank you to all who shared this wonderful piece of land and nature with us. We will miss it so very much! We profusely apologize to those whose bookings we are forced to cancel. After a summer spending time at various hip camps our family decided to make one of our own and share it with the hip camp community! It is a dream come true for our family. We started out with two sites completed in 2021 and added a third spot for the 2022 season. A fourth spot is in progress for the 2023 season! The entire property has access to a shared outhouse with an incinerating toilet! It is super important the instructions for it's use are ALWAYS followed. Check out our how to video here https://youtu.be/MNpf8RmxQUY The Shabin is the first site completed. It has been a labor of love and we are so pleased with the outcome. It boasts upcycled and repurposed materials whenever possible crafted by local tradespeople and some of our very own sweat equity! It sleeps 6-8 people including a loft space we ensured could handle adults as well as kids! The Shabin is full of windows making it feel like you’re still outside giving you views of the river and the mountains from every inch of it including windows in the loft. We made sure there was plenty of graveled and wood chipped spaces to enjoy the outdoors with your friends and family around the smokeless fire pit and created a path leading to the river as well as to the hunting and hiking lands at the back of the property. A tool shed contains tools, toys, and extras for our guests use. The Overlook is the second completed site. It is a tent site that overlooks a flowing creek and little waterfall year round. It is a mostly level 38' x 31' space nestled among the ferns and wood chipped for comfort and to reduce dust and mud. The Overlook comes stocked with a firepit, Tiki Torches, Tiki Oil, an 8 ft table, and optional camping chairs. The Romantic Retro Riverside Retreat is the newest addition. Positioned right on the Wallace river, the Retro Retreat is designed to be a romantic 60's inspired riverside getaway for Adults. From the pink Flamingos to the lovingly restored collectors Vintage 1966 Aristocrat Lo-Liner, this is a uniquely beautiful experience. We packed a lot into this awesome space from a toaster oven/coffee maker and matching Adirondack chairs next to a cozy firepit to a deluxe full size bed! For larger groups, the option to book the entire property for family gatherings or corporate or team building events is available!
