What a charming and peaceful property! They have the sweetest animals and a beautiful garden. It was nice to have a restroom and shower nearby. Great spacious camp site. We really appreciated the canopy that was set up for us because the sun was hot during the day, and there was plenty of firewood available to keep us warm at night. Karen made us feel so welcome and made sure we had everything we needed, including jumper cables when one of our cars wouldn’t start. AMAZING spot for stargazing!

it was a pleasure to camp at the creekside cool bus! the whole experience came with ease, starting with great communication from chloe, the skoolie provided everything we needed (& more) for a cozy retreat into nature. there was plenty to explore, a gnome lined walking trail along the creek and a short drive to the state park. the campsite is isolated enough to have your own privacy but close enough to access the full bathroom. it really was the perfect place for reconnection with each other and nature.

Great lil overnight getaway for me n the pup not far from Richmond. Was able to book day of for some last minute peace. The property was beautiful and quiet both during sunset and sunrise. Evie and her partner helped lead me into the site and offered to be around if need be. My dog loved the attention and love they gave her upon meeting! Definitely would recommend!

This was my second visit and. It has been very pleasant. The place is isolated but as all the amenities described. The site is clean. The site is spacious, there is a trail to get to the site and. I saw deer and wildlife. The check in was done at night and the host was very responsive. A phone call quickly put me on the right location. The place is secluded, if you want to see the sky this is one of the best places in the area if you’re in the 757. I wanted to see the stars but it was cloudy. I still had a great time. Highly recommend

You have a beautiful view of a wide-open field surrounded by trees from the comfort of a shaded campsite in the woods. Easily accessible by 2WD with a turnaround loop and an additional exit. On site features a brand-new full size picnic table with trash bin nearby. Take a walk by the open field for exercise and then retreat to the campsite for rest. I just enjoyed a solo trip there and camped out in my tent. It was a very hot day and the shelter of the trees kept me cool. Nice place, would recommend.

This was my second stay at Cornerstone. The hosts are always so nice and accommodating. They always make sure you have everything you need and then allow you to enjoy their beautiful property in peace. My first stay was a little over a year ago at camp Redfish. This time was at one of their new sites, Camp Crowsnest. Crowsnest is in a different field so you have the whole field to yourself, which is nice. They’ve also added another new site since the last time I stayed there, Camp Flounder, which is a nice spot carved into the woods. They are in the process of building a little cabin at Camp Redfish. That will be a nice option for people once it is completed. I always really enjoy my time here. It’s hard to beat the quiet and seclusion. I would definitely recommend any of their sites if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to relax and connect with nature.

Nice quiet, clean, spacious spot on the edge of one of their farm fields. Picnic table and fire pit set up there for campers to use. It was absolutely perfect for someone like me driving down south needing a last minute spot to pitch a tent for the night, in order to catch some shut eye before hitting the toad again at 6am.

What a GREAT spot! The directions were spot on. The hosts were great. Greeting me and making sure I had everything I needed and replied to messages quickly. It was very quiet and lovely. I brought bug spray, but they were too bad. Except, I did find a tick on me. So be careful. Nothing can be done about that. I WILL be back to the fabulous spot. Thank you Hosts for making a perfect place for me to pitch my tent.

Welcome to RRF! We are a small ranchette that specializes in sheep, horses, and chickens. Located in Victoria Virginia, the farm is an hour to Richmond, 45 minutes to Farmville, and 45 minutes from John Kerr reservoir (on the boarder of NC). We are pet friendly, and the property is completely fenced. Enjoy free unlicensed fishing on property in our small pond, stocked with catfish and bluegills, or let the pups swim away the summer heat. Enjoy a walk on the nearby Tobacco Trail, fish at one of the many nearby rivers and lakes. Roast marshmallows over a fire and stargaze or catch fireflies all night. All sites have access to a portable compost toilet, and we can provide water for the sun showers. We have tent sites, and an RV site, 420friendly but we do not partake. PLEASE NOTE: No Check In After 9PM! The camp sites are only available with direction of host ( new closer parking area and camp area access gate for 2025!!) Exceptions can be made in an emergency stay. THINGS TO DO IN TOWN: Bike or hike the Tobacco Trail and see the railroad park. Local farmers market and livestock sales- down town. The lake at the VFW- good fishing and lovely strolling paths See the falls or fish and hike at Nottaway Falls. NEAR BY ATTRACTIONS: Swim, relax and enjoy the waterfall at Whittle’s Mill- 35 min drive. John Karr Dam and Reservoir- great sandy swimming beaches. Fishing, hiking and picnic areas. Best place ever! 45 minutes south. . Well it’s here. I’m Located in Wakefield Virginia. If you’re traveling to Virginia Beach I’m one hour away. From my farm there is a free ferry in Scotland where the ferry departs to Williamsburg just 30 minutes. At my farm I have 5 sites for tent/camping so it’s spaced appropriately apart I have 2 Rv sites totally away for their privacy and a new mini house also properly spaced away. All have a clean picnic table and a fire pit. 100 feet away you’ll find that clean bathroom, shower and a wash station for hygiene. You’ll see the love I put into this and because I love it and my prior guests love it, which means it may be right for you also. In the town of Wakefield you’ll find gas stations, dollar stores, a Value food market and if you want (to go) food we have that also. Plus it’s home to The Virginia Diner. Amenities include toilet access, a shower, trash disposal, picnic tables, and potable water. Pets are allowed, as are campfires.

Learn more about this land: Come take a load off at this forested Richmond retreat overlooking Reedy Creek. Set up a tent, car camp, or bring your small trailer to one of two sites on a unique property backed up to 20+ acres of woods. Imagine a hidden gem where you can relax to the sounds of rushing water and chirping birds, but can walk or bike to coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, parks or the river. If you are coming into Richmond for a Brown's Island event we are a five minute Uber to an access point using the Potterfield walking bridge (it's a beautiful walk across the James River to the island). Each campsite includes 3 level spots to pitch tents (see dimensions below), and a connected space to park one car, van or small trailer. The large parking space can be used as a fourth tent footprint if needed. There are additional parking spaces. Each site has a fire pit (with firewood on site), a grate to grill over the fire, a picnic table, and a hammock. There is a shared outbuilding with a composting toilet, hand washing sink, outdoor shower (solar warmed), and space to change privately.  Campsite W ~  Tent footprints: 1) 10' x 12' 2) 10' x 13' 3) 9' x 10' Campsite E ~ Tent footprints: 1) 15'x16' 2) 10' x 15' 3) 9' x 10' **Pricing is based on groups of up to four adults or two adults with children. For groups of five to seven adults there is an additional charge of $10 person per day. For groups of eight or more we suggest you reserve both sites and have the entire camp to yourselves. Campsites W and E are about 80' apart. Both are around 100' to the creek. The spots can accommodate a total length (towing vehicle plus trailer) of up to 35 ft. You and your furry friends are welcome to use these paths, but know that others may be using them too. Richmond has so much to offer and we are just a hop, skip, and a jump to many wonderful attractions - kayak or sunbathe on the James River, walk or bike on trails around the city, rock climb, dine, imbibe. PLEASE NOTE* These sites are on a private property with a house that is visible to campers, but we give our guests complete privacy and don't plan to interact unless you need something from us. While you are on a 2 acre property backed up to a 20 acre wooded area, we are still in the middle of the city and you will hear city sounds. This is a safe space.
