Hello, and welcome to my private horse hobby ranch. My family has lived in Southern Utah for over 26 years. This property is within only a couple miles of the Three Peaks Recreation area near Cedar City, Utah. Three Peaks offers mountain bike trails, hiking, free day use campfire sites, an RC track, ATV and OHV trails, campgrounds, and an equestrian obstacle course and trailheads. Nearby is the county shooting range as well. Cedar City is home to many more hiking, biking and equestrian trails all within a 10 - 30 min drive away. Bryce Canyon National park is only a 1 hour’s drive away. Zion’s national park is only a 1 1/2 hour’s drive away. Cedar canyon is only a 20 min drive away and boasts beautiful canyons with evergreen trees, aspens, ponds, trails, and waterfalls. Cedar Breaks National Park is only a 20-30 min drive away with spectacular rock cliffs and overlooks. Brianhead ski and mountain bike resort is also only a 30 min drive away. This is a central location with endless possibilities to go exploring the amazing outdoors. This is a private residential property in a neighborhood with lot sizes ranging from 1 to 10 acres. There is only one RV site so it’s much quieter than a public campground. The driveway area circles around the private home so it is easy to pull your RV through to the RV pad/spot. Please realize your respect to this property and neighborhood is of utmost importance. There are neighbors with cows, geese, chickens, goats, dogs and pigs so realize it’s not as quiet as some places but still more private than many public venues. We also respect you, so please look at pictures and read descriptions. I am happy to answer any questions before you book. There is only one RV site here. You could put a tent up in the dirt but I don’t recommend it as I can’t imagine it would be very comfortable. There are horses in corrals, my people and dog friendly dog is off-leash, and there are 5 barn cats who roam free on the property (2 of which are as friendly as dogs). All persons staying on the property will need to sign a liability waiver since it is a horse property and horses are present. My horses aren’t offered for riding but ask about other ways you can interact with them if you desire. At no additional cost you can help care for them, brush them, and learn a few fun facts about them. For a fee you can get guided experiences with them on the ground (not in the saddle), do breath work sessions with them, and learn basic horsemanship skills.

Learn more about this land: Welcome to a great wide open desert retreat. Do as you please! No one is going to bother you. Let the animals loose, roll out the off road vehicles, ride bikes, and build a fire and enjoy that peaceful good outdoor life. The old Spanish trail can be found nearby for hiking and/or biking and there are mountains and cool wildlife all around in the valley. The stars all pop completely present with no light pollution to spoil them. Additionally, Southern Utah has so many other trails and beautiful places all over in almost any direction. Zion National Park is only a little over an hour drive away down I-15. I highly recommend Kanarraville Falls as well, as it's at most only 30 minutes away. *** Getting to the property: It is directly off of the "main" road which consists of a well kept wide dirt road. The GPS location will guide you straight there to an intersecting road with a stop sign called 1200 E which runs south the "main" road/4800 N/AKA Antelope Springs Rd. At this intersection, there is a trail running north marked with an orange post for fiber cable. That trail and road marks the bottom left corner of the property if you're facing north. Follow the trail and find your way anywhere on the right side, there are already some campsites made up, but you are also welcome to make your own to your hearts desire. Be mindful of your vehicle, cars can drive the trail but there is always a risk of getting stuck. You can also park on the main road as you are already at the property anyway and can just walk in a little ways to set up your camp. **It's important to be aware of any fire warnings for Iron County, Utah. Do a Google search for fire threats and it should be the first thing you see. Most of the time, large bonfires will be highly discouraged. Use good judgment when building a fire of any size. *Cedar City is a straight shot East if you need any medical attention.

There are biking trails near the property that you can hop right on. Lund Trail and Three Peaks are both really close. We are 15 minutes from Wal-mart, Panda, Cafe Rio and other businesses. Near Brian Head Ski Resort, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and other great outdoor activities. The property has a gentle slope of about 7 feet down to the east over about 200 feet. It is rocky and sandy desert. You will want to bring water. Let me know if you want to see the video I made showing how it is about 60 seconds down a nice dirt road to Lund Highway. :) I can share a link with a video showing the views. We have the shipping container with WIFI there too. I can get you a WIFI password. :)

We had a great time staying here! The barn was super cute, warm, and cosy, and the bathrooms were great. Our only complaint is that there were five large dogs running around off leash the entire time we were there. Of course they were friendly to me and my parents, but my own dog does not always do well with other dogs. I barely let him out because I didn't want him to meet five other large dogs, especially when the owner was not in sight. I am not sure if these dogs live on site or belonged to another guest, but we would have appreciated stricter rules about dogs being kept on leash (as my dog was).

Such a beautiful campsite! The tent was beautiful and warm on a chilly night. Loved meeting the horses, goats, and dogs. Carrie Ann was so responsive and welcoming. Wish I could’ve stayed longer and will definitely go back!

2 nights at Rio Riata Hobby Horse Ranch

Rachel has a great site near Cedar City that is very level and accommodated our 43' fifth wheel without any problem. She has updated the site to have full hookups, including 50 amp electrical. While here, we enjoyed mountain bike riding at Iron Hills and Three Peaks (only 5 miles away...). We also explored Cedar City a bit. We'll be back in the future, and would absolutely stay here again. What a lovely place to stay! My sister and I brought our two very young kids and they LOVED all the animals and the open space to run around and play. Such beautiful views and easily accessible to hikes and so much more beauty! The kitchenette and bathrooms were well maintained and so appreciated. We were also grateful for the heater that kept us cozy during chilly nights. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful stay at The Red Barn in Garden! Carrie Ann was an amazing host — so kind, responsive, and thoughtful. The place itself was beautiful and peaceful, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Carrie Ann went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (even sharing a sweet and delicious watermelon from the garden!). The barn and surrounding area were clean, cozy, and perfect for relaxing. We also appreciated the little touches, like clear directions, helpful communication, and the warm hospitality throughout our stay. Highly recommend staying here — we’d love to come back again!

I LOVE staying here on my way through! The direction are clear, and overall the farm feels very welcoming and peaceful. I loved the goats and the curious turkey. I've stayed in both the cabin and the red barn, and they are both great. Love that pets are welcome, and I also left with an armful of veggies straight from the garden. Great stars no matter what time of year. Highly recommend.

We stayed for one night on a long cross-country trip, so our stay was short, but very sweet! Carrie Ann was responsive and accommodating. The glamping tent was cute, spacious, and comfortable. My husband and I had a wonderful time at Carrie’s campground. Carrie and her husband were very welcoming and informative. They gave us some great recommendations and we will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area. The amenities and the facilities were superb. We are very simple people and needed minimal things at camp. We also came across other campers during our stay and enjoyed each other’s company. This is a very peaceful and community-based camp, if that doesn’t sound like you, please keep looking.

Absolutely luxurious glamping site in a quiet space only a few steps off of Route 70! The tent was huge, comfortable, and felt very private. The shared bathroom/kitchenette was genius and very clean.
