Welcome to our little piece of paradise! 55 acres of woods hidden near town. A network of trails criss-cross the creek and wind throughout the property under a peaceful canopy of large beautiful trees. Don't be surprised if you run into deer, squirrels, or roadrunners! Our property is home to a wide variety of hill-country wildlife. - Each of our campsites are private and surrounded by forest. - Each site has a fire ring for campfires - Our trees are our most precious natural resource and set this campground apart! Please don't do anything to harm them. - Port-o-john is available on site. - All of our campsites are primitive. No electric or water here. - When you camp with us you are welcome to explore and play on the entire property! We have 55 acres of trails and woods to explore! Please bring your bikes, trail shoes, or whatever helps you have fun in the wild! - Hammocks welcome! We have so many trees! All of our sites are hammock-friendly. - When you check-in, just text us, your host will help you find your campsite. - Some sites are drive-in where your vehicle can park right next to the fire. Others are walk-in and require a short hike of 100' or less from your parking space. You can indicate your preference during booking or at check-in. If you want to drive right into your site, Campsites 2, 3, 6, and 12 are the sites you want. Some of our campsites are more secluded than others and offer extreme privacy in the most beautiful settings we have to offer. If you're looking for a wilder campsite surrounded by huge old trees and all the peace the woods have to offer, just request Campsites 4, 5, 7, or 8. Each of these sites requires a walk of at least 50' from your vehicle to the fire ring. Site 13 is only for backpackers or people willing to hike about 500 yards to the campsite over rough terrain. There is no way to drive to it or even get close except on foot. But it is spectacular and beautiful! Only three sites can accommodate a smaller trailer or camper. Site 1, Site 2, and site 6. Please notify me in your booking if you intend to bring a camper and I can accommodate you. We practice leave-no-trace as much as possible. So please pack out anything you pack in. You are responsible for removing all trash. If any garbage is left behind in your site you will be billed for the cleanup. We have a dumpster located near the front gate. Please use it and put all your trash in there. Heads-up! We have a small farm on the property. Dogs are always welcome and we LOVE our furry friends! For their safety and the safety of our livestock please keep them leashed while on property.

A dreamy, playful escape with simple comforts: a swinging queen daybed, open-air master bath in the tree with you, fire pit, cowboy hot tub, and a rope cargo net for lounging in the forest. There are trails to wander, frogs to sing you to sleep, and stars above. Push open the double doors. Slide the futon against the handrail under the roof cover. Turn off the lights and leave only the fairy lights glowing. Heavily wooded acreage with goats, horses and donkeys. There is no light pollution and if there are no clouds you can see the stars very clearly. We have a ton of wild birds. Owls and Cara Cara are common. There are deer, feral hog and two resident packs of coyote. We also have ring tail cats, which are nocturnal and rare. The best seasons are October 1st thru the end of April. It gets VERY hot and dry in the summer and can just be miserable. We have a shared bathroom and an outdoor shower and tub. If you are a single woman or a family with children, we don't take other bookings while you are visiting the farm. You will have the place to yourselves. The only exception being my family and I, if we are working or staying over at the farm. We should have a second bunkhouse up and running by fall of 2025. If you are tent camping, you may camp anywhere on the property but there are certain spaces that may make curious horses your roomies.

It’s not a house on sticks next to trees. It’s in the trees. And when you’re here, you’re not on our time. You’re on treehouse time. This isn’t polished, modern luxury. It’s barefoot luxury. A dreamy, playful escape with simple comforts: a swinging queen daybed, open-air master bath in the tree with you, fire pit, cowboy hot tub, and a rope cargo net for lounging in the forest. There are trails to wander, frogs to sing you to sleep, and stars above. Push open the double doors. Slide the futon against the handrail under the roof cover. Turn off the lights and leave only the fairy lights glowing. Across the pond, a spotlight shines on a little feeder, and if you’ve been quiet, you’ll see deer, raccoons, and other critters play in the dark—like a living storybook, better than TV. Leave the doors open. Let the cool AC wash over you. This moment is yours. The entire holler is yours. No neighbors. No campers. No shared anything. Just you and the wild around you. This land is a working wildlife sanctuary, cared for with 50 years of hands-on learning. Please don’t bring poisons—they hurt the good critters too. The yellow-and-black mud daubers? Harmless to humans, deadly to harmful spiders. The big harmless, banana spiders keep flies and mosquitos away. It's nature in balance. If the pond’s low, bring a float or take our kayaks ten minutes away to a secret bend in the San Marcos River. We’ll share the pin. Your close to town but, fully immersed in nature, so it's not ideal for small kids to wander alone. Ladders, beds, and trails aren’t built to code. Heavily wooded acreage with goats, horses and donkeys. There is no light pollution and if there are no clouds you can see the stars very clearly. We have a ton of wild birds. Owls and Cara Cara are common. There are deer, feral hog and two resident packs of coyote. We also have ring tail cats, which are nocturnal and rare. The best seasons are October 1st thru the end of April. It gets VERY hot and dry in the summer and can just be miserable. We have a shared bathroom and an outdoor shower and tub. If you are a single woman or a family with children, we don't take other bookings while you are visiting the farm. You will have the place to yourselves. The only exception being my family and I, if we are working or staying over at the farm. We should have a second bunkhouse up and running by fall of 2025. If you are tent camping, you may camp anywhere on the property but there are certain spaces that may make curious horses your roomies.

We stayed at the Forest Site 2. It was very secluded and the perfect size for two tents. We really loved how much shade there was from the trees, yet we could still see the stars at night. It was an easy walk down to the river, which had clear, refreshing water. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well-kept, and the sink area nearby made it easy to wash up or fill water bottles. Everyone we met was very nice.

Laura's property is absolutely beautiful and she really makes sure to take care of her campers. This is my second visit to this campsite and I will be returning. It is so peaceful with the sounds of the water flowing down stream it knocked me right out and I slept like a baby! The camp ground was extremely clean and if with only 4 campsites you were never too close together or felt like you didn't have your own space. We also had come right after a storm which of course brings all the critters out but everyone who works there made sure anything to bad was taken care of right away. For instance our campsite had lots of fire ants/ ants in general roaming around and within minutes of me letting them know, someone was down there laying down some ant keep away and the ants all dispersed within 20 minutes making it much more enjoyable. I can not stress enough how amazing staung here is if you have the opportunity.

What a beautiful property! Kasey was so nice and showed us around, made sure we had plenty of wood, and made us feel right at home. The stars were bright and the tent was very comfortable! The bed in the tent was so nice and the sleeping pads she offered were great. The walking trail was really pretty in the morning too. It was very quiet and safe, we definitely recommend this site

We had such a lovely stay! The campsite had everything we needed — cookware, fridge, clean showers and bathrooms, and beautiful views all around. We arrived late at night during a storm, so a small light or sign would’ve made finding our way easier, and a wagon for our gear was not available as mentioned. Not taking any points off though — it’s a great, family and dog-friendly spot, and we can’t wait to come back for a longer stay with our dog next time!

Great camping experience with a beautiful river - you just can't go wrong with this place. Laura, the camp host, was phenomenal. She greeted us upon arrival and took the time to show us around the property. What really impressed me was when she called the morning of our trip to let us know about incoming bad weather and offered to let us reschedule with no problem. Very thoughtful. The site amenities exceeded our expectations. Having plug-in power was incredibly convenient, and the hot shower after a day of outdoor activities was a game-changer. Even the porta potty was well-maintained and clean. The real highlight was the river - it was absolutely beautiful! Laura provided paddleboards and kayaks, which we took full advantage of. Being able to hop on the water whenever we wanted made the trip special. We also had great success fishing and caught a bunch of fish throughout our stay. Overall, this was a fantastic camping experience. The combination of excellent amenities, a gorgeous natural setting, fun activities, and an incredibly welcoming host made for a memorable trip. I'd highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a well-equipped camping spot with plenty to do. We'll definitely be back!

We had a great stay. Tent site 2 has lots of room and plenty of shade. It’s a short walk down the hill to the river. Having the sink and porta potty down near the site made life much easier. The facilities up top are nice. Having cornhole there to play was a lot of fun and one less thing to bring. We’ll definitely be back.

Amy’s ranch was exactly what I needed to rest and recharge. My dog and I came out together and had a wonderful time at Tent Site C. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept, the community kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need. I forgot to pack a coffee cup and was able to use one in the kitchen! The site itself was perfect. Very well kept and accessible. My camping neighbors were quiet and the goats on the land were a fun surprise. The weather was perfect and the sky views in the morning and at night were so stunning. I really have no critiques, and will definitely be staying at the campgrounds again.

The camp sites were spaced out enough and private. Although it was a short walk to the bathroom and showers the 2 stalls were super clean with a tidy sink area with running water. The Medina river was crystal clear and the land kept very clean.
