The central building has indoor lodging available and the side bathroom with indoor toilet / washer / dryer may be used by campers as well. A new outdoor shower is 95% complete and usable but swimwear is required because we have not finished filling in the slots between the wood fence panels. The RV Dump station is also ready for use as well as the new outhouse! If you forgot to dump on the way out or need to before arriving, please use the free dump stations on I-35 near Natalia on either side of the highway.

There are rock firepits set up around the property and plenty of firewood. Eventually we will be adding an outdoor shower for camping guests. It is 15-18 minutes to downtown San Antonio. About 15 minutes to tube rentals to float the river in San Marcos. The San Marcos outlet malls are a shower trip. An approximate 30 minute trip to Wimberly, TX wineries. There are wildflowers all over the property; especially in the spring time. We have seen deer grazing on the property and some travelers have found fossils and arrowheads (no guarantees of course). The patio is lighted with cafe lights. One of the RV slips is covered, while the other is nestled under a charming burr oak tree. On-site, we also offer a rental cabin. The covered RV slip is equipped with 30 and 50 amps, the other hookup is 50 amp, both have their own water and clean out connections. Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt. *****IF IT RAINS heavily while you are here, please use the paved driveway to exit the property as you may get stuck in the grass at the big double gate.***** Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed. Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Kindly be considerate of noise levels and how it may impact the experience of fellow guests. You may also be sharing amenities such as the grill, deck, outdoor kitchen, and games court. There are wildflowers all over the property; especially in the spring time. We have seen deer grazing on the property and some travelers have found fossils and arrowheads (no guarantees of course). Amy’s ranch was exactly what I needed to rest and recharge. My dog and I came out together and had a wonderful time at Tent Site C. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept, the community kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need. I forgot to pack a coffee cup and was able to use one in the kitchen! The site itself was perfect. Very well kept and accessible. My camping neighbors were quiet and the goats on the land were a fun surprise. The weather was perfect and the sky views in the morning and at night were so stunning. I really have no critiques, and will definitely be staying at the campgrounds again.

Weekend Trip to White House Winery/Brewery
Great location inside the gates of White House Winery/ Brewery. The camping spot is on the east side of the property with the tasting room on one side, a pasture with cows behind and grape vines to the east. The water and electric hook up worked great for our camper. There is a public restroom a few yards away that was available to us even after the winery closed which was convenient. After hours we had the outdoor areas to ourself but we mostly stayed in campsite area. Brandon, the owner, was very kind and helpful. We dont drink much but we did do a wine tasting and sampled a few of the beers which my husband really loved. I bought a chilled bottle of rose' to enjoy later. The location was great with easy access to Johnson City where there is an Ace Hardware and restaurants as well as a longer drive to Fredericksburg which is an amazing German Texas town with all you might need including a WalMart if you forgot a prescription or need camping supplies. Of course winery are abundant. We will be back.

It's a working ranch so you'll hear Bossy cow and the gang casually chatting. As they're chewing the cud. Equipped with a comfortable seating area . An outdoor shower , water and electric. Catch and release fishing. Tons of birds and a gaggle of turkeys across the way. A friendly host with a welcoming smile . A grill , fire ring , tons of shade and couple of turtles for neighbors. We were at site 1 . I would advise a canoe or kayak for fishing as the water lillies are thick . Our stay was completely enjoyable and we look forward to the next visit !

The stocked river is teeming with largemouth and Guadalupe bass, catfish, sunfish, and rainbow trout, and can be an excellent place for beginning anglers (you can even borrow equipment for free). Pedernales Falls State Park is only 35 miles away. Swimming at holes, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and birding are a few of the quintessential outdoor Texan activities visitors enjoy most at Pedernales State Park, located near the area of Texas Hill Country where former President Lyndon B. This is a living memorial to the 36th president of the United States. This is the home of the Texas White House, so named because Lyndon B. Johnson spent 20 percent of his presidency there. When the weight of the office became too much to bear, he retreated to this ranch to escape the rigors of Washington. You and your family have plenty of things to do here to escape the rigors of your own lives. Johnson's boyhood home contains artifacts from his childhood, including a baseball glove and ball. The president loved cars. You can view a 1915 fire truck, 1934 Ford Phaeton and a rare Amphicar, a car designed to travel on land and water. He also owned a Jolly 500 Ghia, a gift from the owner of Fiat. There's even that era's Air Force One, the plane Johnson used to get to the ranch.Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them.

Our row homes are designed with a hill country experience in mind. Each home has its own private porch, one bedroom with a queen bed an en-suite bathroom, and a living area with full kitchenette and dining. The General Store provides your glamping needs with s'mores kits, fire kits, and more. Our Tobacco Barn is an excellent choice for family reunions, corporate events, rehearsal dinners, after-parties, and live music. Next to the Tobacco Barn is our gathering area with comfortable Adirondack chairs, a cowboy cooker firepit and Walk across the property to our Stardust Airstream and RV Resort which includes 5 Airstreams available for your next glamping adventure and 10 RV pad sites with full hookups, private cowboy cooker firepits, and Adirondack chairs. The Hitchman Homestead is a working Homestead, workshop, farm and coffee roastery. Located in the Upper Turtle Creek Area of the Texas Hill Country - we are about 7 miles south of Kerrville in a scenic Wooded area near the Creek. Rockstack camp has a view of the surrounding Rock-Walls and native wildflowers. The two RV sites in our private 'Rockstack Camp' are available for vacationers or longer-term stays. Guests have access to our Covered Wagon Picnic area, Restroom & Laundry Facilities. You are welcome to interact with our Chickens & Turkeys. Ask for guided tours to the garden, greenhouse, range, coffee roastery or workshop. We have a rustic B&B meals service available for a fee. Guests may also purchase Fresh Farm eggs, Coffee, seasonal produce or Fresh Home Baked goods. There is public access to Turtle creek nearby (walking distance) at the local 'Swimming Hole'. Please be respectful of parking & pack your trash if you choose to visit the creek. The Hitchman Homestead is a working farm - so guests can expect to hear Chickens, Roosters & Turkeys. There will be noise from the workshop during working hours 8am - 7pm most days. We host a public open house known as 'My Sunday Drive' for visitors to our farm on the First Sunday of each month. Animals: Chickens, Turkeys & dogs. The dogs are friendly and contained. There are also several barn cats on-property. There are friendly goats across the street. We have a large herd of Axis deer that visit frequently, along with Rabbits, Squirrel, Fox and a variety of wild birds. We also have two (currently unoccupied) beehives. It is not unusual to encounter bees or butterflies foraging in-season.
