Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away.

Some places to check out while you are here include Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dinosaur World, Granbury Historic Square, Stephenville Rodeo, Bakers Crossing River Put-In, Oakdale Plunge Pool, and BigRocks Park in Glen Rose.

Please no loud noises after 9:00 pm as this is quiet time, out of respect for other campers.

There are a few spaces you can set your tent up in this space. We opted for the spot under the biggest tree.

Grab a book and a camp chair and sit by the Richardson Creek as it babbles and quietly makes it's way through this serene landscape.

The river water is crystal clear, and it's possible to see giant bass, catfish, and a myriad of other fish swimming around

After a good rain you can take the canoe out on the pond..

Gypsy Moon Hideaway

Located at the end of the road. There is over 20 acres. Some cleared and some still in original woods. Trees, grass and deer everywhere. There is over a quarter mile of Brazos riverfront property although you cannot get to the river on all of it due to it being in its natural state. There is a beach at the main camp that provides easy in and out of the water. the water depth varies with the rainfall but is usually between 2-4 feet deep.

The RV site is level land it was so nice to have a covered picnic pavilion to set up in

The main room is adorable and has all the amenities you need for a relaxing river cabin stay

The upper patio provides shade and an amazing view of the river

It wouldn't be a camping trip without some roasted marshmallows!

Fuller's Folly River Ranch

Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest

on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage!

The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!)

Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and

Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.
