Soak up the beautiful countryside during your stay on the farm and hike our 25 acres of wooded property and chase a few bunnies and spot a herd of deer. Just 30 minutes to Gettysburg battlefields, historical downtown Frederick, and many other exciting places for exploration, Willows Farm is a great location for fun! Spend an evening watching Bull riding and barrel racing at J Bar W Ranch just a few minutes down the street in Johnsville. If vineyards and breweries are your thing we are just 15 - 30 minutes from many fine establishments. A few of our favorites are Black Ankle Vineyards, Linganore Winecellars and Attaboy Beer. Antique shopping abounds in the nearby charming, little town of New Market. So you're hungry and have a hankering for local cuisine? For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.

The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent. You will have this space to yourself. The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. There is a wooden platform with a small structure on it. You can stand underneath the platform and it can provide some shelter, if needed. (The structure is being renovated for a new experience next summer.) The pavilion is a short walk and has 2 bathrooms, a shower, and a kitchen. **The kitchen is only available if the pavilion is not being rented**. There is an additional fee to rent the kitchen. If you are interested, please message me after booking. This can be added at checkout. Deer come out nightly on this peaceful property. You won’t be disappointed.

Everything was awesome. The little cabin stayed so warm and was the perfect size for our family of three plus our doggo! The land was beautiful. Theresa and her husband were both so kind. We loved meeting their farm of animals. And she was easy to get a hold of and easy to chat with. We will definitely be going back. The porta potty is a short walk and they are working on a bunch of upgrades in the cabin too. The emus are wonderful and sweet, we visited them multiple times a day. I could go on and on. 100% recommended for an upgraded camping experience. Look forward to trying them out in warmer weather too!

What an amazing site!!! Thank you so much Curtis for being very responsive. This site was private and had plenty of space to spread out. Firewood was readily available, the outhouse was a plus and the drive from Montgomery county was a breeze. I 100% recommend this site to anyone who loves the outdoors and is looking for a beautiful campsite in the woods. We will be coming back real soon.

I love this camp site and farm. The owners are really nice, welcoming, and helpful. The camp site is awesome - plenty of space and it's right by the creek. I love that it's wooded and feels secluded, even though Taneytown is only a few minutes away. The farm and property is picturesque, especially in the fall. It's seems like something more out of a movie than real life. We will definitely be back again :)

We stayed on site one. Had water and electric. It was on a hill where we could look out and see beauty in all directions. It was so quiet, without environmental noise, that it took us a little bit of time to adjust to not being overwhelmed from the outside world. Great place to lay back, take walks, and enjoy the land, the animals, along with the stars at night. Curtis was pleasant as a host. He stopped by but wasn’t too intrusive. Thanks!

Our stay at Bear Branch Creekside was seriously the best, start to finish! Benjamins communication was always prompt which made everything super easy. The whole site was clean and looked great. We had a blast exploring the fun well kept walking trails, and the creek was the perfect spot to just chill—plus, our son had a field day fishing! The fire pit was a major plus, especially since they had those thoughtful extra cooking grates available. We totally fell in love with the owners' dog, Hopper, too! We had such a good time in Hangtown and are already dying to go back. 10/10 recommend!

We loved Mother Earth Organic Farm! The farm is beautiful (particularly so in the fall!) and the campsites are well-maintained. We spent two nights there and our kids had a blast. The hosts were great communicators and very friendly in person. We came from DC and it was an easy 1hr drive to reach the farm. I would definitely recommend camping here if you’re looking for a nice escape from the city.

We enjoyed camping at The Point, it was quiet and felt private, but an easy walk to the porta potty and water. I liked seeing the host’s cats, chickens and sheep. The host was kind and communicative. Very quick and easy drive (10 mins or less) into Gettysburg town & battlefields. I would recommend, and would stay here again.

Tent camping @ Hipville was excellent. The area was well maintained with many paths cutting across the property. The water level was a bit low for effective fishing, but we dropped some lines anyway. There was very limited prepared wood available when we arrived, and we needed to acquire more in the morning (not a difficult prospect).
