The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent. You will have this space to yourself. The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. There is a wooden platform with a small structure on it. You can stand underneath the platform and it can provide some shelter, if needed. (The structure is being renovated for a new experience next summer.) The pavilion is a short walk and has 2 bathrooms, a shower, and a kitchen. **The kitchen is only available if the pavilion is not being rented**. There is an additional fee to rent the kitchen. This is a Selinsgrove address but located more Shamokin Dam area. You will enjoy some peace and quiet at this location, always seeing deer and other wildlife on our 1.34 acres! There is an empty lot across the street from our location so makes the scenery even nicer! This road is also a nice road to take a walk on, and close to the old ash dam! We are ok with bringing alcohol, if you have a fire ring that is fine to do a fire. There is a fire ring and trash can on the premises. Please feel free to move them to where suits your camp site for your stay, just return them to the porch if able! Fire ring can stay where ever you locate it on the property. Everything was clean and well maintained. Loved the wooden platforms, string of lights, fire pit. Unexpected bonus was some firewood and two hammocks already set up. Gorgeous view of the river and so convenient to the bike trail. Check in was a breeze. Note: As an active freight rail line goes alongside the bike trail and river, do expect train whistles and noise several times a night.

We came back for another stay at Riverside RV Camper Site, and it was just as peaceful and relaxing as we remembered. We enjoyed daily walks along the rarely traveled road that winds along the river. Evenings were spent relaxing by the fire watching the trains off in the distance. It’s a great location for exploring nearby towns like Belleville, Reedsville, and Lewistown, all offering great little shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The campground itself remains clean, quiet, and well-kept. If you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay with easy access to small-town charm and scenic views, Riverside RV is a wonderful choice.

I can’t say enough great things about our stay at White Squirrel Overlook! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and there was so much space to stretch out and unwind. We were in town for a dog sporting event, and it was such a gift to return each day to a hot, sparkling-clean shower after competing. Audra was wonderful to communicate with—friendly, responsive, and welcoming. We’re already looking forward to booking our next stay!

Incredible! We stayed here for my husband’s birthday and were completely blown away….the views are just breathtaking. Audra was very responsive whenever we messaged her and you can tell that they have put a lot of time, money and thought into the setup, including the pavilion at the base of the hill and the new upcoming bathrooms at the campsite. There is also a rooftop deck for even more spectacular views! My husband and I brought our paddle boards and paddled on the river all day (just a three minute drive from the site). Then we came back and enjoyed dinner at our campsite :) In the morning a thunderstorm came through, which we thoroughly enjoyed watching, while sipping coffee from inside our van. Thank you so much for offering this to the public. We will absolutely be coming back!

Absolutely incredible site! Amazing views, very private, convenient facilities located nearby. Nice to have a spot to hang out and play games if it rains. Really enjoyed the lookout platform as well. There's a bathroom in shower being finished on site as well that will be super nice to have. Saw a deer in the fields each day we were there. Host was very responsive and helpful! We will definitely be back!

Was visiting Lewistown for an event and wanted to give our new Class B a two night shakedown. This site was perfect and a nice place to relax between activities. The view of the river is great, we think we saw some river otter.... bring your binocs! Site is level, good water and electric and dump station. Close to 22/322 for those needing a layover. Road is not an issue, not much traffic, and we saw the neighbors maybe twice... very quiet spot.

Beautiful views and solitude. Clean bathrooms. Super accommodating host even though I was a last minute booking. I had a great time and slept like a baby. Wasn’t up to cooking but there’s a great little restaurant down the road called Fire & Ice that does take out smoked meats.!! You get what you pay for - and this is very high end camping. I felt safe staying here as a solo female traveler.

Overall great private camping spot! Perfect for bringing the dog as well. We ate at Fire and Ice Smokehouse and Creamery and it was incredible! Only downside is, in my opinion, the price is a little high for a camp site, but for me it was well worth it to have the private site for my dogs first camping trip.

This riverfront campsite was everything we expected it to be and more! From check-in to check-out, we had the site completely to ourselves. We have 2 reactive dogs, and are always worried about interacting with other dogs at crowded campgrounds. This trip, our dogs were more relaxed than ever, were able to roam the entire site, and exhausted themselves from all the zoomies!! We were rained in most of our second day there, but still had plenty of fun. There was a full shower bag provided, full basin of water for the hand-washing sink, and surprisingly clean bathroom amenities. There are 2 wooden platforms closer to the water, and 1 larger platform toward the back of the site where we set up our tent. All 3 were very well-maintained. There are string lights set up, but you need to rent/have a generator to power them. The fire pit was great, and we had purchased the $10 firewood bundle - Zach left 2 bundles for us in the covered kitchen area. Lastly, if you’re looking to fish, we caught a good sized rainbow trout and a baby catfish! Great trip overall.

Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods.
