We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds. The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras * We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras! Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby. Note: Monthly rental discounts are available. Welcome to creek-side camping on our picturesque 16 acre farm! Here are a few ground rules to help with your stay -PLEASE READ SO NONE OF THIS IS A SURPRISE-: -Dogs are permitted if they are friendly and are trained well enough to listen and stay at your site. Again, they must stay at your site unless walking with you on a leash. If your dog inflicts damage to the sites (digging holes, chewing up piles of sticks, chewing up toys to bits etc. please clean up after your dogs. We will provide shovels, rakes if you need!) - OVERLANDERS: You can bring your overland camper if you want, but you must park your vehicle in the parking spot across from your site at sites 1-3. It is a safety issue to block the entryway/exit lane. Site 4 is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and these rules do not apply there. -This is a place for relaxation and reflection by the creek. No loud groups, or partying allowed. If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. If your host can hear it, you will be asked to turn it down or off all together. -This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, dog waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BURN ANY WASTE IN THE FIRE RING BEFORE CHECKING OUT. -There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Go for a swim and float, no prob! But please float in the vicinity of your camp, so as not to disturb other campers. - Please do not invite visitors to your campsite. This is an insurance issue, no exceptions. If you want friends and family to experience our beautiful spot, please have them sign up and book a site, wouldn't that be more fun anyway!? We will be decorated for Halloween. We are currently working a scary trail. Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine. We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are! As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future. We have three leveled gravel RV/Camper spots, which are large compared to most campgrounds. The sites are pull through for most RVs and Trailers. We provide fire rings and campfire wood (assuming we have it available). Our farm is an operational farm with livestock and you will be camping right by our horse pasture. Our location is convenient. We are right off of I-81 and State route 22. Minutes from Hersheypark, Hollywood Casino and Penn National Race Course, The PA Renaissance Faire, as well as Ft. Indiantown Gap and Memorial Lake State Park. If you are a hiker, the Appalachian Trail is minutes from our farm. Our sites are easy access off the main road. We are in a friendly agricultural neighborhood with very little traffic or noise other than the light hum of I-81 in the distance. Wildlife is plentiful in our area and you can hike from our farm to Levitz Community Park (or drive if you prefer) to interact some great nature or have a picnic. Welcome to creek-side camping on our picturesque 16 acre farm! Here are a few ground rules to help with your stay -PLEASE READ SO NONE OF THIS IS A SURPRISE-: -Dogs are permitted if they are friendly and are trained well enough to listen and stay at your site. Again, they must stay at your site unless walking with you on a leash. If your dog inflicts damage to the sites (digging holes, chewing up piles of sticks, chewing up toys to bits etc. please clean up after your dogs. We will provide shovels, rakes if you need!) - OVERLANDERS: You can bring your overland camper if you want, but you must park your vehicle in the parking spot across from your site at sites 1-3. It is a safety issue to block the entryway/exit lane. Site 4 is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and these rules do not apply there. -This is a place for relaxation and reflection by the creek. No loud groups, or partying allowed. If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. If your host can hear it, you will be asked to turn it down or off all together. -This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, dog waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BURN ANY WASTE IN THE FIRE RING BEFORE CHECKING OUT. -There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Go for a swim and float, no prob! But please float in the vicinity of your camp, so as not to disturb other campers. - Please do not invite visitors to your campsite. This is an insurance issue, no exceptions. If you want friends and family to experience our beautiful spot, please have them sign up and book a site, wouldn't that be more fun anyway!? People coming to our land who are not booked at a site will immediately be shown off the property. -Due to virtually every booking asking for earlier arrival and later departure times, we are strictly adhering to the posted check in and check out times. You can enjoy the following on our sites: - Free, unlimited wood for your campfires. Each site comes with a fire ring. - Seating arrangements (picnic table, wrought iron loungers and chairs and wood benches). - Charming outhouse situated over a septic certified holding tank with toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

We will be decorated for Halloween. We are currently working a scary trail. Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine. We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are! As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future. Six years later, the first tree was sold and since then, the farm has expanded its operations to Bernville, Pa. Camp on our 16 acre Christmas tree farm in an Amish neighbors with horses. Within 30 minute drive to Hershey park, Mt Gretna , Lebanon, Lancaster, Harrisburg, York. Enjoy hiking and biking trails nearby and the many attractions. We have excellent cell reception on our farm. Great spot! Tom and Anne are incredibly sweet hosts, and my dog Charlie and I really loved the site. We ended up staying at the RV site, which is a little further from the house and is enclosed by a gate, which allowed me to let Charlie run free. Very cool to hang out with the goats, cows, sheep, and chickens and watch the Amish buggies roll by.

Absolutely beautiful dairy farm and we had the opportunity to take an impromptu hay ride with corn maze employees to check out the Christmas Village which amazing. “A little slice of Americana”. DJ and Loretta were super nice and let us explore the whole farm, talk to the all the cows. Even made a new friend Benny the cat who hung out with us at our campfire. 10/10 We will definitely be back!!!

I l-l-l-loved everything about it! A beautiful ride. Arrived at the barn and was met be our charming host. A walk/ride past the farm animals to a seclude area up on a hill. The yurt was so cozy and inviting. Best cot ever. I will never sleep on an air mattress again! Great for one or two people. Plenty of spa e for additional tents if you need that. Big fire pit and LOTS of wood. Easy to cook on the fire pit but bonus propane grill and really convenient and stocked prep/kitchen area. Even soap and water dispenser setup for ease of cleanup. Delicious icy cold well water for drinking, too. We were also gifted some of their honey and eggs 🍀 Then there’s the farm! What a sweet experience. We got to feed the animals and collect the morning eggs. Walk to the Brandywine Nearby Creek for a beautiful walk along. I recommend! This is a special place!

Our time in the treehouse was magical. It was my 13 year old son and I. He is 6’1” and he was able to comfortably sleep in the loft. Bill and everyone at Fairview Farms was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The stargazing was phenomenal; I highly recommend a dip in the hot tub under the stars. I would recommend bringing a heated blanket in the colder months. I brought ours and it was the perfect mix of cold and snuggly warm. There is a heater that works like a charm, with the blanket we only used it during the day.

Elmlock was named by MJ's Grandfather for the majestic Elm trees that once graced the property and banks of the Tulpehocken Stream passing through the Union Canal lock. These beautiful trees were devastated by the Dutch Elm Disease in the early 20th century. Elmlock and the surrounding area was surveyed by non other than George Washington as plans were formulating to build a canal system to join the Schuylkill and Susquehanna Rivers. The General stayed with his friend Captain Michael Lei on the adjacent farm, once known as the Tulpehocken Manor when visiting the area. The ruins of one of the canal locks remains on the Elmlock property adjacent to the camping area. The 1838 stone farmhouse was built by the Spengler family and acquired by MJ's Grandfather in 1913. MJ's pottery studio is a local "Town Barn" that was relocated piece by piece to Elmlock by MJ"s brother, a Historic Restoration Specialist, in 1974. He also restored the Bake Oven on the property's Summer Kitchen. Our property features an historic canal lock from 1828 Union Canal and a stream that runs through it. There is a RR track that runs just south of our camp about 10acres away For campers who love to watch or hear trains you'll have plenty of opportunity to do so!  You can enjoy fishing and playing in the water, which is fresh, clean limestone water from a nearby quarry. We also have two small goats on the property. Farm land surrounds the property, wooded area and cattle nearby. This is a secluded property but less than a mile from Rt 422. You can bike along the many back roads nearby!  We also offer pottery classes, drawing classes, painting classes, and also Medicinal wild plants walk etc. for an additional fee.  See our extras below if you are interested! Historic places to visit and only 20 miles from HersheyPark. Also we are only 15-20 min from the Historic Appalachian Trail! Note: For the winter months we are closed, we reopen in march. The furthest we are open at any given moment is about six months. We close when hunting season comes in during the fall. Description of camp: This is not a glampsite! There are limited utilities here. No Drinking water, just water for the fire. There is a self serve firewood store, you may also forage dead wood. Here only one group may camp at a time. The campsite is a big level hilltop clearing surrounded by acres of woods. There is stone driveway that leads to the site that gets you back into the woods. The driveway is wide enough for trucks, trailers, vans, etc. Since the site is up high it gets a great breeze which helps on warm days and gets good cell service. The campsite gets great sun and has shaded areas along the sides that make for good tent pitching. We have had people set up hammocks, tents, tarps, or camp in their vehicle. We provide a privy (outhouse), an outdoor showerroom/changing room, picnic tables, and a metal fire pit with grill rack that you can put in the fire pit if you wish to cook/grill over it. The woods are hilly so biking is not recomended. On the property we have 2+ miles of hiking trails. PLEASE feel free to contact us for any questions. Also please look at our pictures for a better idea of what we offer. Nearby Activities: A short drive from here will take you to Gettysburg, York, or Hanover. Codorus park offers great hiking and is next to a lake. There are many excellent restaurants and brewpubs nearby, including the award winning Warehouse Gourmet Bistro and Brewpub. For more information read our activities section to find out what other things we provide or have nearby that you can do. Pricing: We have a weeknight discount for the site which is 29 dollars (Sunday-Thurdsay nights). Friday night and Saturday night we charge 35 dollars. Any additional guests after five we charge 9.50 dollars per person. We allow up to 10 guests total. Rules: Extinguish camp fires that are unattended and to only make them in the designated fire pit, no noise past 9 o'clock, discharging of firearms and fireworks are prohibited, do not bring firewood (to prevent invasive bug spread), keep your pets attended/on a leash, clean up after your pets, no cutting down trees
