There are only two sites, far from each other. It is a rural property with some farms AND residential homes/Airbnbs along the river, so, be aware there are cars that drive through the one lane road. Town is not far (six miles) to get supplies and the Heisson convenience store is less than a mile away. Privacy is better here than at a public campground and it's perfect for a quick trip out of town for a day or two or just a quick and safe stop in your travels. This is a beautiful property and I enjoy sharing it, please be mindful of the rules. *This winter was tough, lots of wind, so some trees fell, but they are all cleaned up and lots of small trees were planted. Can't wait until they grow to help for more privacy!!! Please, read each site description carefully! There is NO electricity or plumbing at the sites. I did install a BPA safe hose for water at the top of the hill for your use (I usually have it on but if not please feel free to message me and if I haven't responded within a half hour please feel free to knock on my door). Site 1 does have a camp toilet (composting bucket with seat and lid) because it is mostly a tent site (some small RVs and trailers can fit). Site 2 is for RVs (and tents with them) that already have a toilet so if you are a tent camper and want to book this site you will need to bring your own camp toilet. Dogs are most welcome, and may be off leash for a run in the field, however, they MUST have high recall. Please be mindful of my own dogs and chickens down below so please do not let them go beyond your site or the field when using. *We plan on making the pond to be a swim pond that will hold water all year long (the creek that runs into it is seasonal so it dries out depending on how much rain we get in any given year). Currently, it is dry.

Please read the whole description and understand the car/trailer length limits before booking. 32' (thirty-two feet) means car and trailer, not just the trailer. Smaller trailers like the teardrops or fifteen footers can be backed in easily, but if you're over 32 feet with vehicle the space to maneuver is too small. Your camp site is under tall fir trees on fairly level ground. The site is next to a county road (see pictures), but traffic is very light. Next to your camp site is a 12x20 foot deck by a clear pond with beautiful trout and a running creek. A large picnic table is provided. It is a semi private location as the owners (us) also enjoy the pond and creek, and use the driveway. You can see the main house from the campsite but it's very quite. There is absolutely NO fishing allowed in the pond! The large trout in the pond are for your viewing enjoyment. 25cent fish food dispenser. There is a clean privy; it's not fancy but it works and we use it when we're working outdoors. We think you'll find it quite acceptable. It's only a few yards from your camp site. There is a fresh water spigot between the main house and the privy to fill water bottles or water for cooking. Just lift the handle for water to flow. Pour gray water in bushes away from the camp site. Hipcampers ARE WELCOME to walk our big garden. Simply walk past the privy, over the wooden bridge and through the white gate to see flower gardens, ponds, fruit trees, and berry bushes. We love to share our space with you, however, we ask that you limit your garden walk to one time so that your walking experience is balanced with our desire for privacy. Keep gates closed and stay out of sheep paddocks. Children: This is a wonderful and fun place for children, but the waterwheel and ponds deserve your attention. Keep children safely away from the waterwheel, and be next to them when viewing it. You must be diligent if your children don't have experience with open water. Please do not allow them to throw our landscaping rocks into the ponds as I have to dig them all out later. For some reason kids love to throw rocks into ponds! Just down the road only 100 yards, is a school playground with swings, basketball courts, tennis courts and a huge field to play on! So bring your frisbee, soccer ball or any other field toys. Don't leave food out at night! That could attract unwanted furry visitors. There is a healthy population of bear and cougar in this area. These animals generally stay away from humans, but you should carry a horn or bear spray when hiking in the woods of the Columbia Gorge. Go right to your camp site. We may come greet you when you arrive if we're home, but then leave you alone to your own peace and quiet. There is parking at the campsite for two vehicles side by side, or a car and trailer. We may accommodate a third vehicle with prearrangement. Camper Trailers: The driveway is circular, so you can pull in at either entrance, get out and take a look at how best to back your trailer into its spot. Live music at your campsite is an experience we offer. Great for kids!

🔥 Camp Festivus is a unique 1926 Vintage cabin that has been thoughtfully restored, featuring a stone (Steiner) fireplace, reclaimed barnwood and 6 person hot tub all on a private creekside acre. 💧Challenge your nerve by swimming in Clear Creek or relax in the hot tub over looking the water. Indulge your inner slug, grab a book and read in the hammock. 🎣 Feeling lucky, you can try fishing in the back yard or walk across the street to see if they are biting in the Sandy River. Afterwards you can cook up what you catch at the outdoor fire pit or grill, then fall asleep to the sound of water or gaze at the old growth trees or creek view from every window. 🎿 You can throw down your gear or tune your bike or skis in our large heated mudroom, and toast s'mores out back or come inside and listen to your favorite music via Spotify or watch a movie on one of our flat screen TV's. Do you want a bit more privacy for the adults, then the kids can go down to the comfy TV room with flat screen, dvd player and stereo, there are tons of pillows and fold out mats to relax, watch movies, or listen to music. 🪑 The iron and woodwork and much of the furniture have been custom designed and produced to maximize the beauty of the cabin as well as the surrounding area. The cabin has a well equipped kitchen that will accommodate 8 people comfortably at meal time, a living room that centers around the fireplace, a sitting room that provides both an extension of the living room and a connection to the covered deck and the creek out back. There are two bedrooms on the main floor. The main bedroom, with a queen bed, has its own bathroom. The second bedroom also has a queen bed and an annex bedroom with both a full size bed and a trundle below. There is also the upstairs loft space, which has two full sized beds each with their own trundle bed. In addition, there is a bonus space downstairs with it own full sized day bed that stays nice and cool in the summer, but needs a little pre-heating in the winter months to be comfortable for most folks. My husband, Chandler and I were both lucky enough to have grown up in the beautiful Mt. Hood area. Now with hard work and determination we are raising our five children in this magical place. A few years ago Chandler sold a large portion of his company and we purchased our rustic log cabin. We love the idea of sharing our peaceful cabin and property with the world! We recently decide to put our primary home on the site, to allow us to catch up on our debt. We are so thankful that both our places are loved by our guests. Great place to stay, really nice rolling hills. It was beautiful even in the fog! We absolutely loved Dustin, he helped guide us through our wine tasting. He was very well versed and an incredible educator.

Burke and Shannon are fantastic and friendly hosts, who live in an absolutely stunning location. This area is amazing in its beauty and outdoor activities, and they know some good spots to check out (thanks for the Salmon River trail tip!!). The RV spot was easy to back into, spacious, and had water/power in a convenient location. I will definitely be checking in the future to see if they are available when I’m in the area twice each year!

The sites are all very unique. We loved out stay. Lots of salmon making a run up river right now. It was very cool to watch the salmon and also a big group of kayakers going by. Sites were clean. Wish we would have added the sauna add on. They looked really neat.

First off we felt very welcomed. We loved the livestock, the river, the amenities and all the special details they put into this place. The lights around the campsites, the clean bathrooms and showers, the firepits, the water, the shared common space. All the wildlife was incredible also. We saw a coyote, deer, bald eagles, chipmunks and a common Merganser. Such a great place! We will be back.

Our family had such a great time on the river. Even though we got some rain everyday we put our paddle boards in the water from the dock and played. The river is super peaceful and you get to see and hear lots of birds. We lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves even. Really nice to have the provided Adirondack chairs for around the campfire and watching the river too. Hosts were always very quick to respond and helpful. Road and property clean, well maintained and so was the port-o-potty on site. We even visited their horses to say hello for change of scene one afternoon. Mostly though we relaxed in the camp area and enjoyed the river. Will return for sure.
