Escape the city chaos and come relax among the trees. We have a 30 acre parcel in unincorporated Columbia County, OR with our home, barn, and animals. The lodging is set away from our home in a private part of the property. We are surrounded by woods and views of the cascade mountains. We have solar panels on the cabin for power, there is potable water in a storage tank that feeds the sink at the deck and the outdoor shower behind the cabin. The toilet is a composting toilet and is set about 100 feet away from the cabin. The CZ trail is close by, there is a trailhead about 1 mile from our driveway. The CZ trail is a bike, pedestrian and horse trail that runs from Scappoose to Banks. There are restaurants and grocery stores in Scappoose and nearby St Helens. There are also many local farm stands, including ours.

Absolutely loved it here!! Amy was warm and welcoming and communicated before/throughout my entire stay. The property is so beautiful and the cabin is immaculate. My pup and I stayed here after a week-long trip down the OR coast and it was the perfect place to stop for a couple days before heading back to Seattle. Will definitely be back here!

Weekend Trip to Camper in the Firs

A cute and simple spot that is so convenient for river swimming and exploring Mt. St. Helens! The deck is the best part and we spent most of our time out there both morning and night. Also a great spot for bird watching in the morning with coffee. Loved the small TV with a collection of classic movies. Without potable water it was rustic but we couldn’t have asked for much more. Road noise wasn’t an issue as the traffic dropped off around 9pm. Saw a Bald Eagle and even an owl! Thanks Tristan and Liz.

🌲 Peaceful Paradise in Nature 🌾 I can’t say enough good things about this tiny cabin stay! From the moment my dog and I arrived, we were greeted with the calm and serenity that only nature can offer. The cabin is nestled perfectly between wide-open fields and a quiet forest, making it the ideal escape from the hustle of everyday life. Waking up to the sounds of birdsong and sipping coffee while watching deer graze in the morning mist was something truly special. I even spotted a red tailed hawk hunting the field for its dinner! It’s clear that this land is lovingly cared for—everything feels thoughtfully placed and well-maintained, from the large fire pit to the clean and comfortable cabin itself. You can really tell the owners take pride in their work. Every little detail, from the welcoming atmosphere to the handcrafted touches inside the cabin, makes you feel right at home while still completely immersed in nature. If you’re a stargazer, bring your telescope as this has a wide open sky view! Highly recommend if you’re looking for peace, quiet, and a deep breath of fresh air. We will absolutely be back! 🌿

Great deck, super cute and efficient camper. Would definitely recommend for 2 people and possibly child or dogs. Deck is fenced and large but on a somewhat busy road. Beautiful area and town is cute.

Weekend Trip to Camper in the Firs

Great place with cool decor. Camper new on the inside. It says it's on an acre, but not like you think. No where for the dog to potty, except in the parking spot. It's right on the road also. Luckily there is a park nearby so we could walk the dog. Bring a discover pass. We saw lots of birds and bats! Also a Beaver!! Would definitely stay again.
