Our peaceful 20 acres has a good mix of woods, wild meadows and maintained cleared areas as well as a small pond, all of which can be explored via our nature trail. Enjoy the sounds of nature and an incredible night sky. FIREWOOD and seasonal farm goods are available for purchase at a self-serve stand (several payment options available). There is also a wonderful sauna on the property that can be reserved (go to sauna to reserve a time). Great hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, swimming, and disc-golfing opportunities just a few miles away at Paint Creek State Park and the Highland Nature Sanctuary. Amish country is also just 15 minutes away with a great bakery, markets and greenhouses. This area is home to an impressive network of ancient earthworks including the world famous Serpent Mound. Our accommodations range from primitive tent-camping to "glamping" in one of our tiny off-grid cabins. The sites are spaced out for privacy and each site offers a private picnic table and fire pit. There are two shared privies/outhouses which have basic composting toilets (not flushing). A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1). ***Please take note that this is private property and the host lives on site. If you are looking for a place to be loud and party into the night, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend some quality time in nature, welcome. There are rules.

The modern, yet cozy, Carpenter's Cabin has a small footprint of 934sf but explodes with over 1700sf of interior living space over four floors and another 600sf is available on the three decks.  The cabin boasts two owner's bedrooms, two bunk rooms, and one alcove bed in the library to sleep up to eight adults and twelve total guests.  Three full baths round out the private spaces.  There are two media rooms - The Conversation Pit on the main floor and in the lower level walkout. The cabin was built as the first eco-luxe cabin in the Hocking Hills and includes luxury amenities such as organic bamboo sheets, Turkish cotton /eucalyptus bath towels, and natural body products to name just a few. Explore our 32 acre pine forest in the Appalachian foothills, enjoy the hot tub, fire pit, and our three covered decks (including a third story screened deck off one of the two master suites). Check out The Perch four stories up, and the extremely popular conversation pit, known affectionately as The Pit. The addition of the Jaybird Fort (a mini version of the Carpenter's Cabin) keeps children active with imaginative play outdoors. The Carpenter's Cabin is just 5 minutes to downtown Laurelville for supplies, or enjoy a meal at a local restaurant. No smoking, vaping, marijuana, etc inside the cabin or in our 32 acres of forest. Such a cute and unique place! I originally got Hipcamp to find some places for tent camping but thought the cabin was too cute. We loved the whole set up and farm. It’s private and well cared for. We loved the veggie and produce stand by the firewood. We also had a lovely farm cat stay with us for the second evening which was adorable. We are not afraid of bugs and spend most weekends camping but there were definitely a surplus of stink bugs in the cabin which made me a bit meh, mostly they were present in the daytime so not terrible at night. Guessing just a seasonal thing but definitely something to consider if you’re weird with bugs. Otherwise, everything was perfect!!

We really loved the porch and deck:) perfect to sit outside, watch the sunrise and listen to the nature. What an amazing 4 day trip. We wished we could have stayed even longer! Only complaint was the grill was a little ify with no drip barrier between the flames and the propane tank from a safety stand point.. perfect get away!

The cabin was new and had most of what we needed. It was really pretty and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I took a bath in the big soak tub and that was probably the highlight of my long weekend. It was amazing. If I were giving stars, I would give 4.5/5. I can't give it a full 5 stars because it wasn't as advertised in a few ways. I believe that some pictures got mixed together for all of the cabins. I was expecting a hot tub and a picnic table on the deck. It was still beautiful and the stars were amazing in such a dark area. William was very kind and I felt comfortable being around him. He brought me wood in a frontloadet and only charged $10 for more than enough for the weekend. to He seems to be building 4 or 5 different things at once. It was a little dusty because of the gravel road, but I was expecting that. I had wished there was more access to walking trails. There may have been some, but they were not immediately obvious. So I guess my recommendation to the host would be to adding more information about the property. There was also no wifi. I personally didn't need it. My kid was with us. They suggested starlink would probably work there, so I suggest either not saying there is wifi or getting wifi that will actually work. Great trip, mostly.

I enjoyed my time at Fruitdale Farm. The Cedar Sanctuary was just as described. It is tucked in its own little grove and offers peace and privacy. The bed was very comfy. The land is lovely and well cared for. Lots of beautiful trials nearby.

Really nice campgrounds. Tent sites are in forested area- we could just barely see our neighbors in the next site. Very quiet- no background traffic. There are a lot of activity ‘zones’, I imagine that it would get busy. There are restrooms at the pool- heavily used and maybe not appealing but they are not dirty nor are they secure. But there is a real nice, finished full bath that locks on the back side of the welcome center. I would stay here again. Note: if you are in a regular car- as opposed to a truck- avoid Blue Gill site, you have to come in/out at an extreme angle to about bottoming out!

The price was right. Was nice having shower and restroom. Decent gap between you and neighbors. Perch site has a decent slope to it. The others seemed to have more flat space. Getting to the water from the camp site itself is possible but again decent slope there. All in all was a good time and would recommend.
