It is also a 5minute drive to the award willing Raquette River Brewery and the Adirondack Rail Trail. Tupper Lake is also home to the #1 Natural History Museum in the Country "The Wild Center". Tupper Lake is part of the tri-lake region in the Adirondacks including Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Lake Placid being home to the 1932 and 1980 winter Olympics.

It's a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street. We're in close proximity to copious hiking trails, mountain biking, fishing on the Au Sable river, 'the flume' swimming hole, pubs and restaurants, and nearby Adirondack towns including Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Keene.  Aside from the lean-to located in the back corner of the property, there is access to electricity and water, a fire pit and outdoor seating. Note there is no host-provided toilet here. Campers must provide their own. Close by is a petting zoo, playground and country store all open to the public. Many other attractions within driving distance. Mollie Mae’s Chicken Ranch also makes a great home base location for anyone interested in venturing out to the surrounding areas. Whether it’s spending time on the beach at Ausable Point campground, golfing some of the surrounding courses, paddling or boating the waters of Lake Champlain, hiking the hundreds of trails in the Adirondack Mountains, leaf-peeping northern New York and Vermont in the fall, or visiting the Olympic Village in Lake Placid, there are so many things to see and do within a short driving distance. We are just 4.1 miles from Ausable Point campground and Lake Champlain, 4.6 miles from Ausable Chasm, 7.9 miles from Bluff Point Golf Resort, 12 miles south of Plattsburgh, 34 miles from Whiteface Mountain and 38 miles from Lake Placid. We really appreciated finding such a nice site, with full hookups, in late October, when most all the regular campgrounds have closed for the season. We end up staying extra days, 4 days total, because of rain. Cozy spot. Still close to town for restaurants, laundry, groceries. Loved getting in a bike ride on the newly opened Adirondack Rail Trail, accessed just down the street. Only negative, with the rain, the site called Forest View 1 got quite muddy. Too many campers have laid out big rugs, killing a large section of the grass. Otherwise, the sites are all grass.

Would recommend if you’re looking for a simple quiet stop over with hook ups and more room and flexibility than your average campsite - close to an area of natural beauty. Would recommend! The pup & I had a wonderful weekend away on Cara’s land, it was just what we needed. Found it very peaceful & relaxing. There were two other campers setup but we were on the upper lot and had our own space. All of the local trailheads were packed up so we just had a nice little walking adventure around Little Wolf Pond and it was so nice. Site had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend away - power, water & sewer hookups as well as a fire pit, picnic table and Adirondack chair. Definitely recommend to anyone especially this time of year, the colors around the pond were great! Thanks again!!!

Jason and Kim are extraordinary hosts — very thoughtful and welcoming. The property is lovely and well maintained, with a fire pit and comfortable Adirondack chairs. Kim even let our daughters help her feed the chickens — such a fun and surprising experience! We loved our stay and will definitely be back next year to enjoy it again and pick apples at the nearby orchard.

Great centralized yet secluded spot. The lean to was the kids favorite to hang out at, eat meals, etc. Water from a well was provided, water pressure wasn’t the best but just filled our white tank and used water pump, power was also provided. Totally recommend for anyone looking a spot to explore ADK!

Robin was a wonderful and gracious host. We had clear directions to her site, and the photos were accurate and helpful. There was a lot of grassy space for us to pull in and park our 22’ sprinter van camper. We choose to be opposite Robin’s beautifully decked out ADK lean-to and campfire ring. The site was quiet and chill. The walks down to the River and to shops in town were easy and convenient. Great site all around.

Great spot close to a lot of things to do. There were 2 other campers on the property and everyone was nice and respectful. Plenty of space for us to spread out even though you share utilities on the same pole at the River View site 1. Host was responsive to text and questions. We would absolutely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Weaver Acres
This is a great location, clean, close to town, great fire pit, electric and water. I was concerned about the negative reviews at first but we did not have to park immediately next to our neighbors. definitely if privacy is your thing, this might not be the best place but it is much more spacious and private than the campground down the road. We would definitely stay here again

Weekend Trip to Weaver Acres
This is a nice quiet spot very near the beach & beach campground. The full hookup was great & a stone fireplace near the little brook. We had plenty of space and Cara was very responsive when I messaged her. She recommended places to eat and find wood. Also it was FLAT which we always appreciate.

This site was perfect for a week in the ADK. It was surprisingly more private than we had expected. We shared utilities with the site next to us but we faced opposite ways so we never interacted. Compared to a traditional RV park, this was great. We would gladly stay here again.

Nice site with water & power. Note that hookup is 50 amp - not 30 amp. We got great wifi with our Starlink Mini (no satelite obstructions). The only slight confusion involves Cara’s directions to the bathroom/toilet. She did not make it clear that they are located INSIDE the “Little Wolf Beach” campground. No problem but quite a hike from the campsite.

Located adjacent to our horse farm, Hipcampers are welcome to hike on our trails. We offer horse back riding and carriage driving lessons. Conveniently located between the St Lawrence Seaway and the foothill Adirondacks there are lots or opportunities for outdoor recreation. There are plenty of hikes for all abilities and duration. If paddling is more your thing our county has 3 of the 10 longest rivers in NYS along with lakes and reservoirs. There are also nearby mountain bike trails, and we are not far from the St Lawrence County Multi Use Trail. While there are many interesting and interactive destinations close by, larger cultural destinations such as Ottawa or Montreal make great day trips.

Mollie Mae, our Golden Doodle, welcomes you to stay on her quaint little chicken ranch in Peru, NY. Our property consists of 2 acres surrounded by apple orchards, strawberry, blueberry and raspberry fields, corn fields, pumpkins and more! We have segmented a portion of the property for use as a RV/Tent site, with 30A electric, water, septic hookup, fire pit and picnic table, with plenty of space for vehicles, and room for kids to run around. Note there is no host-provided toilet here. Campers must provide their own. Close by is a petting zoo, playground and country store all open to the public. Many other attractions within driving distance. Mollie Mae’s Chicken Ranch also makes a great home base location for anyone interested in venturing out to the surrounding areas. Whether it’s spending time on the beach at Ausable Point campground, golfing some of the surrounding courses, paddling or boating the waters of Lake Champlain, hiking the hundreds of trails in the Adirondack Mountains, leaf-peeping northern New York and Vermont in the fall, or visiting the Olympic Village in Lake Placid, there are so many things to see and do within a short driving distance. We are just 4.1 miles from Ausable Point campground and Lake Champlain, 4.6 miles from Ausable Chasm, 7.9 miles from Bluff Point Golf Resort, 12 miles south of Plattsburgh, 34 miles from Whiteface Mountain and 38 miles from Lake Placid. You can also take the Lake Champlain ferry from Plattsburgh and a short ride to Burlington, VT, which is about 41 miles away in total. If you want an international, metropolitan experience Montreal, Canada is only 71 miles north, but still close enough for a day trip. PLEASE NOTE OUR PET POLICY: While we do allow pets, as we have semi-free range chickens on our property and families with children who frequent the playground, petting zoo and corn maze next door, we do not allow any potentially aggressive breeds of pets including bully breeds.
