Willow Hill Farm is a family-run working horse farm. We train , teach, board horses, and run a day camp. We had a resident camp for 40 years. We have mountains in our backyard and the Au Sable River with world class fishing bordering our meadow for a half mile. Great swimming there, also! We are 45 minutes from Lake Placid and 30 minutes from Plattsburgh. Montreal and Burlington, VT are a 1.5 hour drive. Lake Champlain is 15 minutes away. Hiking, boating, and swimming are all close, and riding lessons are available on the farm. Most hip camp sites are near where resident campers stayed. There are two sleeping cabins with many bunks. Each has two small rooms where a counselor slept and one large room. There are screened windows with shutters on all sides and screen doors without locks on each end. There are electrical outlets and over head lights in the cabins. We have plans to improve the cabins. Past the cabins is the Green with 4 loose stone firepits. Across from the cabins is the shower house with four hot showers, sink, and toilets. Showers and toilets have closed stalls. Currently, the water system is above ground and will not work in freezing temps. We have installed an outhouse for year round use. All water is from our excellent well. On each side of the former(closed) dining are spots. There are electrical outlets on the outside of the dining hall. People with campers may like to park in the riding arena near the barnyard. There are outlets, but no toilets. Good water is available from the barns. Lovely views of sky and mountains! We also have a beautiful 50 acre field with a household type outlet, but no well. There is an outhouse there. Excellent sky viewing here. This is where we jump and train our horses. Horses may be turned out in this field.

We built an Adirondack Style leanto here in 2019 and have been cleaning up the campground area for the past two years. While Camp Forever will never become a "campground" again, I am thrilled to once again be able to share this unique property with anyone seeking good times in nature with family and friends. Willow Hill Farm is a family-run working horse farm. We train , teach, board horses, and run a day camp. We had a resident camp for 40 years. We have mountains in our backyard and the Au Sable River with world class fishing bordering our meadow for a half mile. Great swimming there, also! We are 45 minutes from Lake Placid and 30 minutes from Plattsburgh. Montreal and Burlington, VT are a 1.5 hour drive. Lake Champlain is 15 minutes away. Hiking, boating, and swimming are all close, and riding lessons are available on the farm. Most hip camp sites are near where resident campers stayed. There are two sleeping cabins with many bunks. Each has two small rooms where a counselor slept and one large room. There are screened windows with shutters on all sides and screen doors without locks on each end. There are electrical outlets and over head lights in the cabins. We have plans to improve the cabins. Past the cabins is the Green with 4 loose stone firepits. Across from the cabins is the shower house with four hot showers, sink, and toilets. Showers and toilets have closed stalls. Currently, the water system is above ground and will not work in freezing temps. We have installed an outhouse for year round use. All water is from our excellent well. On each side of the former(closed) dining are spots. There are electrical outlets on the outside of the dining hall. People with campers may like to park in the riding arena near the barnyard. There are outlets, but no toilets. Good water is available from the barns. Lovely views of sky and mountains! We also have a beautiful 50 acre field with a household type outlet, but no well. There is an outhouse there. Excellent sky viewing here. This is where we jump and train our horses. Horses may be turned out in this field.

My family and I recently purchased Camp Forever from my uncle and have by rehabbing the property for the past several years. We built an Adirondack Style leanto here in 2019 and have been cleaning up the campground area for the past two years. While Camp Forever will never become a "campground" again, I am thrilled to once again be able to share this unique property with anyone seeking good times in nature with family and friends. Holly has a great setup boardering state park land with trails that connect. The area has a lot to offer with some great hikes. They have potable water available close to the camp site and a porta potty at the site. If you like animals, they have all sorts of farm friends for you to watch and visit with. It was a wonderful place to stay.

We recently had a great time at the Tamarack Tent site. This was my 2nd time camping on the property, and our group thoroughly enjoyed it again. There was plenty of deadwood for us to collect and burn to keep our fire going, and the fire pit, screen house, and general campsite area were all clean and prepared for our arrival. We enjoyed many great campfire meals, hiking nearby, and relaxing on the property. At night, the sky was incredibly clear, which made for great star viewing! We also enjoyed seeing the fall foliage of the surrounding landscape. It's a beautiful area. We plan to visit again next year!

There was a lot of grassy space for us to pull in and park our 22’ sprinter van camper. We choose to be opposite Robin’s beautifully decked out ADK lean-to and campfire ring. The site was quiet and chill. The walks down to the River and to shops in town were easy and convenient. Great site all around.

Woodland Grove Camping at Adirondack Adventure Base is such a gem. The property is calm, pristine, and full of charm with cute little trails to wander right on-site. It feels like a perfect mix of peaceful and fun. Bob and Sheila are the kindest, most thoughtful hosts, and it was such a treat getting to spend time with them. Mim is just the coolest human being ever and made the stay even more special. We also got to try their maple syrup, which truly was the best we’ve ever had. The spot is also in an ideal location, just a short drive to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and some of the most beautiful hiking and sightseeing in the Adirondacks. We left already talking about when we’ll come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Adirondack stay.

Camp Riverview was exactly what I needed for a beautiful weekend get-away! I chose site #1 down by the river and I was thankful I did. There are access points to the river and also a nice rock slab area to enjoy the sunny days or some fishing. There are various wilderness trails to get to your vehicle and it was very close to town if you needed any extras. The view of the river at campsite #1 is fantastic, and it also had a great view of the setting sun. The hosts were amazing, and they were very helpful with information about the surrounding areas and local things to do. My evening campfires were a great way to unwind after a long day of adventure, and they had it all ready for me when I made it to camp. Both tent sites were flat and made set up quick and easy. I would give this hipcamp two thumbs up and would definitely go back there again. I will also say the RV/camper sites up on the top level were very spacious with easy access. If you're more into a shaded campsite, tent site #2 will provide that for you. Both tent sites also had access to a picnic table by the river. 10 out of 10 for my weekend stay!!
