Come see our work in progress! Some of the fun and unusual attractions we have available are panning for gold, petting the goats Ben & Jerry, and taking a tour of the minimally populated (20 residents) ghost town of Kingston, NM. You can even take a picture by the Tipi, the Wagon Wheel Dream Catcher, or sitting on the 420 Tractor! Imagine setting your tent while listening to the creek just a few steps down the path. Gaze up at the beautiful stars while sitting at your campfire. Quail Camp - This spot is a nice smooth grassy area which is the largest of our sites. It's surrounded by Black Walnut Trees, Junipers, and Trees of Heaven. Hawk Camp - This is the smallest of our sites, but it's nuzzled up in a nook of Trees of Heaven and is closest to the Sacred Meditation space with a nice trail that goes right over to it! Eagle Camp - This is the most secluded site we have, which is set on soft fluffy grass. It's nestled up to some Black Walnut and Trees of Heaven. The corner of this camp has it's own path to the creek and you'll find some blackberry brambles along the way!We have firewood available for purchase.Water is available from the Campground Well. We have paths and trails that lead along the creek to explore. A bathroom is available at the neighboring campground. A bathroom you can rent (with a shower) is just up the path at the Kingston Clay Company Coffee Shop.

Casita on Sapillo Creek Escape

Sapillo Creek Escape is a truly unique gem in the Gila Wilderness. It sits at 6,000 feet above sea level, was custom designed and built by the creator of the Bear Creek Motel and Lodge in Piños Altos, and took 7 years to construct. Everything from the saltillo tiles to the wood latilla ceilings are custom built and exquisitely hand-laid. With over 3,000 square feet in the home at your disposal, this place is made for just you, or you and your family and friends, to enjoy the Gila Wilderness, Silver City, and Grant County. Fishing, birding, biking, hiking, horseback riding and more await you in the Gila, with dining, arts, culture and more in Silver City. The Casita at Sapillo Creek Escape sits on 20 acres, so camping is welcome. Pets are permitted with prior review and approval. All pets must be friendly and get along with other pets, and must be fully vaccinated (proof of vaccinations is required, especially rabies, parvo virus and kennel cough). We purchased Sapillo Creek Escape in early 2019. If you continue walking past Campsite 1 you will find this red blaze.  Follow it up the hill.

Walk/hike into your campsites by following the red blazes.  You will see the first red blaze on your left from the parking area.

When you come to the property you will see a parking area with a sign on the right in front of a fenced in area.  Please park your car there.

Silver City above San Vicente Creek

Park at Perk! Located conveniently on the outskirts of town, the park borders the San Vicente creek open space with hiking and biking trails that lead downtown through a beautiful riparian area. Overlooking the expanse, our sites are level and easy to access from town. 
Each site has easy access to WiFi, water and electric, and with a little creativity, even sewer hookups! This is not your typical RV park, with limited sites and no onsite bathroom, it's a diamond in the rough!

Silver City RV Site

RV Camping close to Silver City. This is a great spot for a small, fully self contained RV or trailer. Close to Silver City and the Gila National Forest. Includes a 30/20 amp electrical hookup, well water and sewer connections. The site will accommodate one RV up to 28 feet long or a small RV trailer up to 20 feet long (allowing room for the tow vehicle). This quite spot is located in a wooded location about one mile down a reasonably well-maintained private dirt road. There is room to park your support vehicle too.

This is a great spot for those seeking quite. Well behaved pets and children are welcome. The neighbors do walk their dogs, so please be considerate of other animals.

"Bill's spacious, graveled RV site has well-maintained full hookups and its own private driveway. It's located in a quiet, wooded, sparsely settled neighborhood with occasional visits from deer.  The location is very convenient to everything that Silver City has to offer.  Bill is easygoing and very accommodating.  We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay twice.  We hope to stay with Bill again in the future."

Camp Xantara

Xantara overlooks the Mimbres valley and river with an expansive view. There is a Bakery close by that is open for breakfast Tue - Sat and a museum that is open on weekends.  Gila Hot springs, cliff dwellings, wilderness, petroglyphs and pictographs are 1/2 - 2 hrs. north on hwy. 35. Silver City is 1/2 hr. away with a variety of restaurants, galleries, coffee shops and museums. City of Rocks state park is to the south.  Site has water, electric, trash and recycling.
