Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

Located 50 miles from midtown Manhattan (approx 1:08 minutes) is our brand new campsite located right off the Appalachian Trail. The camp is at the base of Wawayanda mountain right between the iconic hikes "Stairway to Heaven" and "Pochuck Boardwalk" on the Appalachian Trail. Hike right from camp up to "Pinwheel Vista" (named one of NJ's best viewpoints!) At the entrance to the property is the Valley Farmers Cooperative that sells local grass fed meats and artisanal farm goods. You can walk two minutes to Heaven Hill Farm which has plenty of goods, produce, and fun fall activities like pumpkin picking and haunted hayrides. Drive your car from route 94 directly to your campsite nestled in the woods with a great view of the valley. A perfect getaway from the city with plenty to offer. About 10 minutes down 94 is the beautiful town of Warwick or about 4 minutes in the opposite direction is the town of Vernon. Warwick is a quaint small town with plenty of great restaurants and bars, and famous for its apple picking. Vernon has plenty to offer as well including the popular ski resort/waterpark Mountain Creek and Minerals Spa (Located just under 10 minutes away.) The quiet charm of Wawayanda State Park appeals to hikers, campers, swimmers and boaters. Forested hills surround Lake Wawayanda creating a restful backdrop for canoeists and fisherman, while steep mountains challenge casual as well as serious hikers. A twenty-mile stretch of Appalachian Trail runs through the park, while the top of Wawayanda Mountain offers sensational views. More than sixty miles of trails are marked in the park.

Our 2 and a half acre property is situated in a very rural quiet area. The Wickecheoke creek, a tributary of the Delaware, runs through the property. There is a private seating area for serene enjoyment and private meditation. Each site has a small private firepit and picnic table. Plenty of wood is available - free again this season. Forgot some supplies?- within 3 short miles are many shops, services and resturants, many deliver. Several varieties of wildlife are in the area: you will spot eagles, white tail deer, racoons, wild turkeys and red fox, to name a few, while you stroll, bike or drive throught the area. Stop at the many creeks and enjoy the vibrant sounds of the bubbling waters; fish, frogs , turtles, blue heron and the many critters who habitate the waters. For birders there are over 75 species of birds within a short walk. During changes of seasons you can often see many birds in flight migrating to far away places. Bring your binoculars and camera. For you shop and antique explorers, just a short drive to the Delaware River and its quaint villages only 10 miles away: Lambertville, New Hope and Frenchtown. The main cabin, Belle's Cabin, is made from hand hewed logs and is the only cabin furnished with a king size bed. All cabins have climate controlled heating/cooling units as well as hot water. Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life. The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land. There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property. Our night in the Tipi was such an amazing and unique experience. Cold weather ruined our original camping trip and I was able to book Lauren’s Tipi pretty much last minute. It was so comfy, and furnished perfectly. She had fresh water, wood, fire starters, blankets, chairs, everything we could possibly need. Even the composting toilet was welcoming. No complaints here, except for the cloudy skies. Thanks again!

The campsite is so great for our needs: 3 good sized tents for our families to camp together. They're close enough that the little kids can safely run between them and around the common area but not so close it's noisy for each other. The grills, fire pits, dishwashing stations and toilet/shower amenities are clean, useful, well-maintained and appreciated. As were the badminton net and swings! Loved our second annual trip here.

What a perfect little spot! After biking around the area most of the day, this was the ideal spot to rest. Tom and MaryAnn were very accommodating and did a great job making sure the camper had all the essentials. While I didn't get to make a fire, Tom did offer free wood, which is rare on Hipcamp. The location is excellent and is not far from cute little towns like Frenchtown and Flemington. Would love to visit again and explore the area more.

We really loved our stay at the tipi. Lauren was exceptionally accommodating and refunded us when we decided to leave a day early because of the weather. The tipi was lovely, everything was provided (firewood, starter logs, drinking water etc etc) and having an open fire inside was a very special experience. It's nicely tucked away in a small wooded area behind the host's home. The bedding was very warm and we stayed cozy. Lots of great activities in Warwick, Sugar Loaf, and the surrounding area as well. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Paradise Valley Homestead
If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping straight into the pages of history, Kathleen's Medieval Encampment is the place to go. Kathleen gave us the royal treatment, showing us the campsite features and amenities. The campsite itself is beautifully arranged around a central fire circle, with tents modeled after authentic historic pavilions. Each pavilion was sturdy, weatherproof, and surprisingly comfortable (furnished with cots in one shelter and a queen sized bed in another). Evenings were spent around the fire, and on one occasion a friend of Kathleen's stopped by and played music for us. The stars above Paradise Valley Homestead were brilliant—no light pollution, only the crackle of the fire and the sound of owls in the woods. It felt peaceful and otherworldly; like relaxing in a much simpler time.

Staying at this glamping site right on the Delaware River was an incredible experience. Totally gorgeous and private. The hosts were so kind and gracious; they went out of their way to make us comfortable and even surprised us with a thoughtful little anniversary gift when we arrived. The site is easy to find and has good cell service. Highly recommended for a peaceful and romantic getaway.

We had a fabulous time. The kids found salamanders and all kinds of bugs! The woods and creek are a wonderland. We had rain one night, so instead enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cactus Grill to kill time. The set- up is perfect and secluded. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Glamp at Coyote Creek
I spent two days here this weekend. I arrived a little late on Friday. Cindy's preparation was perfect. I didn't have to do anything else. Also, Cindy explained everything kindly, and even I, who spoke English badly, could easily understand it. I would like to thank Cindy. The weather was perfect, and the sound of grass bugs at night was also nice. Cleanly maintained facilities made camping even more enjoyable. I'll visit you again next time.

It was a Devine experience, it’s a beautiful tipi and the family are the best with great smiles and great hearts. Nice lil fire place inside the tipi I made alkaline shish kabobs. Waking up and going to sleep to the sounds of nature is wealth at its purest form. Much gratitude to the family for allowing me to have that experience 🙏🏾

Weekend Trip to Riverhouse Farm
Our stay at Riverhouse Farm couldn’t have fallen on a more perfect weekend. We enjoyed how conveniently placed and framed everything was. From the view of the river from the tent, sitting around the fire as the moon rises between the trees, or where the sun and moon sit perfectly when they’re at the peak and the trees that frame it. We slept comfortably in the canvas tent and using the wood burning stove was easy. Conveniently, there’s a grill which made cooking a lot easier. The fresh eggs cooked over the fire were superb! We arrived later than we had hoped and in the dark so we missed the tent off to the right when we got there but were able to find it. I would love to visit again this time next year! Such a memorable trip.
