Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

Our property has a vast collection of vintage, classic, and current vinyl albums that play solely from solar power. Its audio system delivers sound on the inside and out for a campfire mood that can't be beaten. The Monguap River is close enough to be seen and heard from the cabin, but the adventure of getting there is half the fun! The Delaware River is only 2 miles from our location, and River rafting is a big business around here. A small artesian-fed creek runs right next to the cabin. It lends to the relaxing sounds of water with many quaint spots for you to dip your toes into, paired with a wood-fired tub that feeds off of the stream, which can only be explained by experience (weather-dependent). Our hot tub also pairs beautifully with our newest addition to the cabin, our sauna! Perfect for a cold plunge afterwards (more information in the add-on description)! A queen temper-pedic bed and super comfy overstuffed futon will assure a good night's slumber. The Record Room's covered outdoor kitchen is designed to extend the awesome vibes into every meal.. (I.E., Flat top grill, single burner, and stainless grate grill all powered by propane, cast iron frying pans, and utensils). Our outhouse is designed and maintained by the women of the family, and great pride is taken in making it a favorable experience. A small wood stove heats the Record Room on chilly mornings and nights. If you're looking for the fine line between camping and glamping, this is your place! We recommend having some prior camping expertise, and we must mention that there is no WiFi/ service. We have a few spots available for your friend circle to pitch a tent and enjoy the experience with you! A basic convenience store can be located three miles to the right of our property with all your basic needs (including gas). For your grocery shopping, a small family-owned market can be found within 10 minutes up the road. If you're looking for activities, there are plenty of rafting/canoeing/kayaking companies for your enjoyment. The Terry is an adorable vintage 1970’s camper trailer nestled in the back corner secret garden area of Marina 59, a marina on the bayside of Far Rockaway, Queens, NYC filled with creative structures, beautiful boats and wonderful wildlife. The RV has a queen size bed that comfortably fits 2. There is a new, powerful AC, a toaster oven, a fridge, a hot water kettle, and all the kitchen basics. The bathrooms, with large comfortable showers, are a quick walk away at the Marina entrance. Your rental includes parking in the marina lot and a clicker to come and go as desired. Outside the doors, there’s a decent super market, a Dunkin’ Donuts, and a gas station. The beach is only three blocks away. The beach where numerous surf lessons take place is 9 blocks away. We are close to JFK airport - super convenient, but you will hear some plane traffic overhead. We're the perfect spot to stay if you have a layover at the airport and want to head to the beach. The marina is also home to Sail Rockaway, that has sailing lessons and trips along the beautiful Jamaica Bay. Great birdwatching as well because we are located at the edge of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. It's truly a magical spot! In addition, I've opened a shipping container store, Tree Rock NYC, right by the bathroom. Please stop in and check us out! The Terry is a perfect retreat for surfers, sun lovers, bird watchers and anyone who loves to enjoy all that Rockaway has to offer. And it’s an easy breezy subway / bus / ferry / drive away from the city! In summer, there are surfing classes, sailing and fishing trips, and numerous concerts and performances. We had a working dairy farm. Now the property is used for your enjoyment and ours. As well as making hay. We have an 8-acre garden planted with rhubarb, raspberries, and berries on the farm too. We are located next to the Wallkill River which the campsite overlooks. We have 3 campsites available to choose from. Toilet available, campfires permitted, picnic table provided, pets welcome. Be advised we are a working farm so you will see woodpiles, machinery, such as Tractors and other items sometimes hanging around. The Terry is an adorable vintage 1970’s camper trailer nestled in the back corner secret garden area of Marina 59, a marina on the bayside of Far Rockaway, Queens, NYC filled with creative structures, beautiful boats and wonderful wildlife. The RV has a queen size bed that comfortably fits 2. There is a new, powerful AC, a toaster oven, a fridge, a hot water kettle, and all the kitchen basics. The bathrooms, with large comfortable showers, are a quick walk away at the Marina entrance. Your rental includes parking in the marina lot and a clicker to come and go as desired. Outside the doors, there’s a decent super market, a Dunkin’ Donuts, and a gas station. The beach is only three blocks away. The beach where numerous surf lessons take place is 9 blocks away. We are close to JFK airport - super convenient, but you will hear some plane traffic overhead. We're the perfect spot to stay if you have a layover at the airport and want to head to the beach. The marina is also home to Sail Rockaway, that has sailing lessons and trips along the beautiful Jamaica Bay. Great birdwatching as well because we are located at the edge of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. It's truly a magical spot! In addition, I've opened a shipping container store, Tree Rock NYC, right by the bathroom. Please stop in and check us out! The Terry is a perfect retreat for surfers, sun lovers, bird watchers and anyone who loves to enjoy all that Rockaway has to offer. And it’s an easy breezy subway / bus / ferry / drive away from the city! In summer, there are surfing classes, sailing and fishing trips, and numerous concerts and performances. Only 1.5 hours from NYC but you truly feel like you’re away from the city and in the quiet serene woods. Kathy was an amazing host and checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable. We were on site 9 which was very isolated and spacious enough to fit all of our needs. Everything was also clean and the trails were marked and easy to follow. There’s also firewood for purchase if needed. I would highly recommend and will be coming back!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in early November. And really affordable too! Kathleen met us at the entrance and led us to site 10. She was welcoming, entertaining, and helpful, and also answered my call and gave directions when I was lost the first evening. As mentioned in the description, we certainly needed a SUV (Mazda with 7.5 inches of ground clearance) to get to the site and made sure to take it slow and drive our wheel over rather than straddling big rocks. Site 10 is extremely secluded past all the other ones, with a beautiful view of the ridge since the leaves have fallen off the trees near the site. It was large with a nice flat part up at the top where one of us camped, and a stone campfire pit and space for several more tents and tables. It was very peaceful and beautiful and we could hear the waterfall. The outhouse was a couple of mins walk away and was very nice. Having wood to purchase at the entrance was nice too. One of my favorite parts was exploring the beautiful trails around the property. Make sure to check out the waterfall and also take a right at that sign and check out the pond and more! We hope to be back again soon! What a wonderful place and time we had!

Evan & Laura have an amazing set up. They had great communication during our stay and in the week leading up. They checked in to see if we needed anything prior, including the propane heater, which in 30-something degree weather was an essential and extremely helpful. The site truly had anything you could ever need. We were extremely impressed and surprised by the outhouse with toilet, shower, and usb-c chargers(!) inside. Reading reviews beforehand were helpful and led us to pack lighter, given the steep climb up. But the climb was definitely worth it. We also loved how Evan showed us how the goats and chickens were fed. My pup definitely loved running up and down the hill to the site and marveled (sometimes a little too much lol) at the goats and chickens she was seeing for the first time! Evan was both kind and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Record Room Cabin this past weekend and absolutely loved it! The hot tub with warm water and hot tub made for such a unique experience — truly unforgettable. The sense of privacy and peace was perfect, and the vinyl record collection was just incredible. There's even a magnificent pool table under a canopy with a view of the forest – a truly stunning sight. I agree with all the comments above. This is truly an amazing place! I really hope to come back again!

My sweetheart and I had such an amazing time at The Record Room. We stayed for 3 nights and we wish we had one more! It was a cozy getaway that felt timeless. We loved setting the vibe with the records, dancing in the living room, and just enjoying some slow, peaceful days. It was cold when we went and one day was particularly rainy, but there is a lot to enjoy indoors and the fireplace kept us warm and cozy. One thing to note is that the wood provided is rather thin and burns fast. For this reason, heating the hot tub and keeping the indoor fireplace lit is a JOB! We had to add every 15 minutes or so. Our recommendation is to start early on the hot tub and bring some of your own logs as well - even better if they’re the big fire-starter ones. Overall it’s a special place. Masen and his family are great hosts and we hope to make it back again someday.

Great communication, friendly hosts. Perfect fire pit. Easy to get to, right off highway pretty much. We used it as an overnight stop. You can hear the h8ghwa6 sounds but it's muffled and we couldn't hear feom inside our van. Field very open, so if in high summer would be warm but perfect for a fall overnight. Would use again.

We absolutely loved staying at Siri's camper in Far Rockaway... the location was right on the ocean, while still feeling private and protected from the outside city bustle.... Truly a little haven in the big city. The weather was a little chilly but Siri was incredibly sweet and left us electric, heated blankets.

We had such a wonderful stay at The Gypsy Rose! As new parents, we really needed a night away, and this spot was absolutely perfect. The wagon in the woods was cozy and unique, and the fall foliage made the whole place feel magical. We relaxed by the fire until bedtime, got an amazing night’s sleep, and woke up to a stunning mountain view. Perfect place to camp with my friend and our young children. The composting toilet in the outhouse was stellar. Not at all smelly, and very clean. We neglected to bring drinking water, but Kathleen brought us 2 jugs +2 jugs of water for washing dishes. We were also able to buy firewood for $10 that supplied us with enough wood for a fire at night and one in the morning. We had a very positive experience and would come back.
