The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. Glacier National Park is an hour and twenty minutes away. The driveway up to the orchard is made of gravel and is a bit steep at the beginning, At times there can be a few ruts so be cautious. Most standard passenger cars can make it up the driveway with no problem. Due to campers having trouble navigating the driveway with trailers we no longer allow trailers or RV's over 22 feet. Welcome to Tobie Creek Corner, a peaceful, RV-only campsite nestled right at the edge of the Flathead National Forest. Located at the corner of Tally Lake Road and Tobie Creek Road (NF-2924), this private spot offers the perfect blend of seclusion and accessibility—just 15 minutes from downtown Whitefish and 45 minutes to the entrance of Glacier National Park. The property is filled with towering Fir and Larch trees, and it would not be uncommon to see many deer or the occasional wild turkey or songbirds fluttering around. This site sits on a mostly flat, graveled driveway with plenty of room to park and set up. Surrounded by forest and backed by public land, it's a great basecamp for outdoor adventure. You'll find direct access to mountain biking and hiking trails right off the property, including the Tally Lake Overlook Trail and Stovepipe Trails. Tally Lake, Montana’s deepest lake, is less than 8 miles up the road and offers opportunities for swimming, paddling, fishing, or simply soaking in the quiet beauty. If you head just up Tobie Creek Road, there’s a small, lesser-known fishing hole—a stocked lake with trout and pike that locals love for its peaceful vibe. This is a dry campsite with no hookups or amenities, so please come prepared with your own water and a toilet system. (Tent campers are welcome only if you bring your own composting toilet or bucket toilet setup.) A basic fire ring is available for use when fire restrictions are not in effect—please check current conditions. There's also a simple picnic table and plenty of trees for hammocks. Firewood is available as an extra you can add on to this booking- we will deliver it to the site ahead of your arrival time. Dry, split firewood is also available for purchase just next door from the site at 365 Tally Lake Road. Important Note: There is no cell service at the site. Be sure to download maps and save your directions before leaving service range. We spent 3 nights in the yurt here. It rained quite a bit and the temperatures got pretty chilly, but the yurt had an electric heater, that kept us more than comfortable. 2 adults, 2 children under 10 and our dog. We had plenty of room outside to cook and hang out. The yurt was thoughtfully arranged to feel plenty spacious and comfortable for the 5 of us. You cannot beat the location of this hipcamp. We spent 3 days in the park, but it is conviently close to Kalispell and Whitefish as well. We will definitely stay again.

The site fit my needs for a place to camp while reffing soccer at the nearby Smith fields. The two sites are next to each other, but the other one was empty so I had plenty of privacy. The toilets were clean even if one was about out of paper. You can hear highway 40 due to the proximity, but it was not bad just some white noise. I would return.

Great spot! Perfect place to stay when visiting Glacier National Park. Very close to the entrance- we had a wonderful stay with our dogs. Plenty of space for our big dog to run free. The site was clean, spacious and great with a fire pit and table. Everything we needed. We would stay again without hesitation!

We booked this Hipcamp as a stopping point along a 10-day, multi-state RV trip and we are SO glad we did. We stayed 2 nights and wish we would’ve stayed a 3rd. It was so peaceful and serene. It was truly the definition of a relaxing experience. The views from our panoramic window were gorgeous, especially at sunrise, and the nighttime sky was insane. We would love to make the trek back someday to enjoy this beautiful oasis again.

Terri’s place is amazing! She has a lot of nice amenities (Kitchenette, outdoor cooking area, clean bathrooms). My friend and I spent four nights tent camping and felt so safe and cozy. A few notes for anyone reading: -there is a train that goes through at night but earplugs will do the trick if you’re a light sleeper -the kitchenette has plenty of basic spices and condiments for shared use + coffee and teas. -we has tent spot 1 which was perfect with our car, 4 person tent, and small table with chairs. Someone else in the reviews mentioned the common area and bathrooms are a far walk from the campsites - this is false. They are ~ 100 steps away. So basically the equivalent of a longer driveway. Hot tip - Terri has a recycling bin that you can pull from for kindling - the newspaper and toilet paper roles are the perfect combo to make a great fire!

Such a beautiful well-maintained camp spot for our 23 foot RV. It had the basic necessities like electric in water, no pumped out. But the spot was very quiet and enjoyable. We didn’t get to meet the host, but you can tell that they put a lot of hair in their property. I would definitely stay there again.

If you’re looking for somewhere close to Glacier National Park with water/electric hook ups, this place is for you!! our dogs enjoyed being off leash as well :) however, the sites were closer than we thought. i would recommend renting both RV spots if possible, there is really only a few small trees separating you. since we went at the end of the season we didn’t have a problem but I could easily see it getting pretty crowded during peak months.

Terri’s Yurt and hospitality made for a perfect base camp on our trip to Glacier National Park! The yurt and common areas were clean, comfortable, and well-kept. For two adults with a pretty significant amount of hiking gear, we felt like we had plenty of space. The quick drive to the west entrance of the park was a huge plus! Highly recommended!
