Stardust Market Garden

5 sites · RVs, Tents2 acres · Fairland, OK
At the edge of a small town in Oklahoma, plenty of space to look out over hayfields, lounge in one of our hammocks, sit around the fire, watch chickens, ducks, and geese, and maybe lend a hand to one of our varied farm projects. Permaculture-based polyculture market garden that sells veggies, herbs, and eggs. (Plants are all certified organic, eggs aren't certified but fed organic feed) A few miles from Twin Bridges State Park has RV dump station. The town is walkable and there are plenty of bikes to use. The main use area will have lights from the neighbors, 2 lane highway, but also private areas to set up a chair or hammock. Behind the hedgerow (to the North) there's a mowed areas for a tent. There's also a tree platform for tents (though it currently needs some brush clearing to get to it) Also a train runs about 10 x day and night about 5 blocks away. There's capacity for leaving your trash/recycling here (I have to pay for weekly pick-up but rarely is my bin full), there's also washer/dryer in an outbuilding that can be used (within reason)

*** PLEASE NOTE !!! ***The Pea Ridge Bike Camp will be closed throughout the winter months from DECEMBER 1st THRU FEBRUARY 28th. Reservations will remain open for booking campsites for 2025 and our rates will remain the same.*** The Pea Ridge Bike Camp has primitive campsites available for visitors to Northwest Arkansas and can accommodate tent campers, campervans, small and large campers and RVs. Even smaller Class A motorhomes (length isn't an issue but weight on a grassy field might be a concern should it rain heavily) We offer large, spacious campsites along with firepits, free firewood and large cable spool tables at each campsite. Potable water, outside sinks, an outside shower, 3 large ADA portable toilets (1 in front and 2 in back), and trash bins are centrally located to most of the areas. We are currently providing free firewood for each firepit. Pea Ridge Bike Camp is about 7 miles to downtown Bentonville and only 5 miles from Exit 88 and I-49. We are located n the country, yet only 1/8 mile to state highway 72. Restaurants, food trucks, groceries, banking and laundry facilities are only 2 miles away in Pea Ridge. Pea Ridge Bike Camp is located 5 miles northeast of Bentonville and most of the bike trails are on the north side of Bentonville. The gravel trails run right in front of Pea Ridge Bike Camp on Blue Jay Rd. This is a place where you can be very close to everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer and while still being in the country. A peaceful place that you can easily return to after exploring many of the popular bicycling and hiking trails in the area, visiting Crystal Bridges or other local museums, or attending one of the many events, such as Bikefest, Bikes, Blues, and Barbecue, the annual craft fairs, or performances at the Walmart Amp or the Momentary. We are also close to Eureka Springs and Beaver Lake. We welcome you to stay at the Pea Ridge Bike Camp. We do offer group camping and the dispersed campsite locations are only a suggestion. All dispersed camping locations are flexible upon arrival. We will allow low-noise generators to be used, but have limited them to the dispersed sites in order to better accommodate all of our guests. * We do require you to book into a dispersed campsite in order to use a generator. ** Please let us know If you are planning to use a generator. We will try to accommodate those wishing to use them and those that do not want to be around them. Please call with any questions or concerns. RV camping near Noel with showers guide

Overview

For a small town with a population hovering near 2,000 residents, Noel has a surprising number of campgrounds nearby. The Elk River and its tributaries bring in swells of visitors, many of which opt to camp and glamp. A float trip is a classic summertime activity here, whether you don a canoe, kayak, raft, or tube. Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri come together in this region, known for the beauty of the Ozark Mountains. Private RV parks in Noel and nearby Pineville feature amenities like full hookups, free wifi, and river access. The closest public camping is found at Huckleberry Ridge Conservation Area, which offers primitive campsites.

Where to go

Grand Lake State Park

Oklahoma’s Grand Lake O' The Cherokees has an astounding 46,000 acres of water, making it one of the largest in Oklahoma. Grand Lake State Park is located on its shores and encompasses several smaller lakes. Fishing, boating, paddling, and watersports abound. Honey Creek Campground is the closest to Noel. Tent and RV sites offer various amenities, with water/electric hookups and concrete pads available.

Northwest Arkansas

South of Noel, you’ll find one of Arkansas’s most hopping regions, where the cities of Bentonville, Fayetteville, and Rogers come together, along with several small towns, to create a mini-metro area, full of foodie-approved restaurants, cultural attractions, and a chic downtown. Several private RV parks and glamping rentals are found across the region, providing easy access to all of the shopping and dining options, as well as the natural beauty of the Boston Mountains. Public campgrounds are found along the shores of Beaver Lake and in Devil’s Den State Park, which offers cabins in addition to the tent and RV sites.

Roaring River State Park

Approximately an hour east of Noel, Roaring River State Park is a scenic spot best known for the trout fishing found in the spring-fed waters. Biking and hiking trails meander through the Ozark woodlands, some offering views of unique rock formations and sparkling waterways. Tent and RV campsites are offered, some with electric hookups. Rustic cabin rentals are also available.

When to go

Thanks to the waterways, summertime is a popular time to visit Noel. The refreshing waters provide relief from the heat and humidity of summers in southern Missouri. If you don’t plan to make a splash, spring and fall are also good times to visit, as wildflowers and green leaves make their spring appearance and fall delights with the annual autumnal colors. Winter is generally cold, with occasional bouts of snow and ice, making it a less pleasant time for camping.
