For most of the 20th century the property was a small farm, grazing cattle and mowed for bailing hay. We are trying to rejuvenate the property and breathing some new life into this old plot of land. Learn more about this land: The Hill, aptly named, is a hilltop that slopes down to a large pond that divides the twenty acre property in two. With plenty of room to stretch your legs you can enjoy a nature walk. In the evening enjoy the night sky around one of several fire rings, while roasting marshmallows. Easy access and only a quarter mile from the main road. Potential for Noise: MoKan Speedway and Active railroad nearby

Today, we call it Fanthorn Forest and it's our dream, our haven and our home. We have woods and pasture with Settle's Ford Wildlife area (fishing and hiking available) 1/4 mile away. Camping is primitive with only an outhouse and no shower facilities. All proceeds are put back in the farm to care for the animals and the land. RV's are allowed, but we do not have any hook ups available and they are not allowed in the woods. Some walking trails are cleared, and more are being cleared throughout the forest, leading to, and across the creek (if you wade across). Some of it is wild woodland! Guests are invited to explore 3-4 acres of woods leading from the round-about of the RV road, in to the woods to the creek if so desired! Guests also may use the greenspace on west side of the RV road. Please limit your activity to these areas of my larger family farm. You may want to remember your wading boots and bug spray!
